I know, I'm dying to know when it is too...
Guessing from previous decompressions, I would assume it's in the middle of October...
just take a look at previous years dates:

Decompression

I heard it was the same weekend as the Love Parade. And that would probably be like the tenth of October or something. I just can't wait to get my pictures back so I can put them up for all to see! Love to you, Jessica

I think I heard October 10 somewhere on this site. Which means it could be a self-prpetuating rumor. I checked the calender on the main site earlier today and it hadn't been posted yet.

I'll be in SF the weekend of the 23-24. I'd love to hit the decompression if it's THAT weekend. OR if it's on the 9th, that's be great too. I'm willing to make a special trip up for it.

I'll be home for LA and our decom on the 16th, so thread lightly! please?

so, I'll repeat. When is the SF Area Decom?

thanks,

den

LA is the 16th and

SD is the 29th 30th and 31st

A little birdie tells me that you are close but not quite about the S.F. date.

Everyone will know soon for the date of the S.F. Decomp.

People get together. They have performances, wear costumes, burn some smaller art. Basically it seems to be a "Argh we've had to live in camp reality for a month and wont go back to the playa for 10 we gotta do something" thing.

Black Rock City attire
Just curious on what constitutes the above? Who gets to make the decision whether what someone is wearing is BRC attire or real world attire? What if I dress like a freak everyday, or what if my BRC attire is conservative. I'm being a smart ass, I know. But I am still curious on how this is judged. What if I thought I was dressing in BRC attire and was getting in for $10 and someone said nope, you pay double?

I think they are just trying to get more people to participate instead of gawk. From what I could tell they are pretty lenient and the people that are obviously tourists are charged the $20.
I think....

Lost & Confused?

Post by Dianamite » Tue Sep 28, 2004 3:54 pm

I'm thinking of flying in for decompression... So that I can try to find a reasonably close place to stay, can somebody tell me what neighbourhood decomp is in? Or advise on local hotels/motels/etc?

Confused Canadian,
Diana
