Well fuck. That was easier than I thought. Lug bolts only costed $25.00 for the set of five. Only took about 3 hours including 2 trips to autozone. One trip was to rent a tool that we ended up not needing. After removing the brakes the lug nuts were tapped loose with a large ball peen hammer, but we were only able to remove the three broken ones. (One of the remaining three lugs broke when we were taking off the lug nuts to remove the rim.) It looked like we were going to have to remove the hub so we rented the large socket we would need for the job. Unfortunately, although the box said it was for a 1/2" wrench, it was actually for a 3/4".
It was at this point that we discovered that if you lined up the bolt in the right position it could be pushed out past the hub. Now we had tried this before with no success. But we fiddled with the little fuckers some more while we were deciding if we wanted to spend $35.00 for a 3/4" wrench and were able to get one out. Turned out that you had to have the bolt precisely lined up with the (unmarked) flat spot on the hub. Even a tenth of an inch in either direction will prevent the bolt from being removed.
The new bolts were each drawn into place by putting a lug nut on backwards and tightening it down.
Ford Wheel Hub
The front end is now making a hell of a lot of noise so I suspect there is some other damage as well. Maybe ball joints???
Oh... and the fucking road crews finally went out and fixed the potholes on that road. Must have run out of other things to do.

Is it a roaring?
There are often higher grade studs available for replacement. (grade 8 in most cases)
Be certain not to get something lower than factory grade.
You can't neglect most front suspension problems, especially ball joints or steering.
When I needed a 3/4, I got a breaker from northern.
Do you have cv joints?
