(I'm not in the line anymore. I got directed distribution or whatever lame thing the llc did to make sure that artists and theme camps are coming... But yeah, I'll find some entertainers? What tickles your fancy? Clowns are out.)

Wow, looks like we're on to 12:13!!! Keep the hope!!! I had a feeling there were very few if any people that got in at :11 or :12, so the progression makes sense, lets hope this keeps up and we all make it out there this year!

Heck I can't wait either... the fact that we jumped from 12:10 so quickly makes me super happy. Perhaps a "STEP Survivors" Theme Camp is in order.clocksnmirrors wrote:I can't wait to see you post your good news! Until we get at least one or two more :13 confirmations, I have to admit that I'm a little skeptical.. but still hopeful.. for all of you.

Agreed - my time stamp is 12:13:39... I'll certainly post if/when I get tickets.

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
I'm still waiting at 12:24, but starting to allow myself a glimmer of hope. I finally got my tent last week (YAY), justified the expense to myself as "disaster/apocalypse survival supplies". I also enjoy camping so it should come in handy regardless.

Yeah, I agree, i think this is very likely to be an anomaly. But we can hope : )

..because timestamps have been wildly inaccurate thus far..

They've been completely accurate, plus or minus several minutes.

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
Show me one case that someone that wasn't inside a particular timestamp group got tickets or that awards haven't gone out chronologically to the minute. (Respectfully) I know it's your job/position to remind people of this for the sake of sanity and peacekeeping, but show me just one case.
One case.
One case.

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
I do have to agree with junglesmacks. Your statement is somewhat missleading and innaccurate. The timestamps as indicated my eplaya have definitively been accurate within plus or minus several seconds up until the 12:10 stamps, and pending further ticket notifications it will likely continue along the same lines. Hope this clears up any confusion new posters may be having.trilobyte wrote:They've been completely accurate, plus or minus several minutes.

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
That's not true, there have been quite a few cases over the last couple months of people 'getting served out of turn' (people with more recent time stamps getting served ahead of them, or behind them). The current situation is yet another example. The ticket team has confirmed that the times on the emails are not from the STEP queue, they're from one of the 20 different machines whose clocks were not synchronized and were coughing out emails at varying rates. It's like going to a bus station and asking twenty different people what time their watches report. Accurate, but only to within about 5 minutes.

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
Rant alert:
Oh my lord people, really!? Are we still going to bicker about the accuracy of timestamps?
I am the first one to admit, I am obsessively watching this board- and yes, I even have a spreadsheet where I've recorded names and timestamps because it's fun for me to check them off as we get closer and closer to my place in line. Can't we all agree that basically the 12:09ers came before the 12:10ers etc..... and can we also agree that when we get to the 12:16ers, we're getting close to the 12:17ers. That should be goood enough.
But nit picking over microseconds- and whether a 12:10:09er got skipped because we're now on 12:10:11, is a waste of time and energy. And frankly it's really annoying when you're in the queue and watching for new posts, and excited to share in someone's happiness over getting awarded tickets, only to open another snarky post about the value of the effing timestamp.
Enough we get it- they're a good guideline, but it's not an exact science- they're not the end all be all. No guarantees, got it.
Now that I'm done venting, let's hope for some new posts that will corroborate this 12:13 story. I agree it seems fishy and is probably just an anomoly. But this 12:17(:11)er knows we're slowly creeping closer!
Thanks for listening-

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
I just chime in on the timestamp thing because it seems that some people don't know it's only a general guideline. Then things get ugly. Again, back to the whole ticketing thing over the past 10 months--it's been hell. People have been so angry and so unforgiving that I"m trying to pre-empt problems by stating things like the timestamps are only an approximation because I'm afraid that at any moment we'll go back to a big scene.

Some people keep bringing it up haha. Anytime misleading information is given, I like to make sure the logical truth as observed is out there for the public to see as well

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?
Thank you, lemur! You are a wise spirit indeed! Congrats to those who recently got STEP tickets- I know we're only gossiping about our digital tramp stamps due to ticket anxiety. Why not channel that desire into your art? Squeeks, the Playa Guinea Pig artcar is undergoing a full make-over, possibly known as the Electric Guinea Pig Acid Test. Not a fan of hope myself, but actively engaging in creation often turns the fear of loss into something rich & strange.
Be well, and keep busy to help pass this dreadful waiting time.
