Seeking Russian Camp
Seeking Russian Camp
Everyone from last year in my camp or camps i know did not get tickets this year. Does anyone know if there are any Russian camps this year, preferably theme camps but that is optional.

I realize it's a different kettle of fish than what you asked for, but we'd welcome you, just the same.
Of course there are hundreds of more informal camps that might be closer to what you want. Just a lot harder to track them down.

Re: Seeking Russian Camp
I'm not aware of any offhand, but from my experience most camps organize around projects, shared creative ideas, or something along those lines. Some do organize by geography (especially if a group's traveling from a great distance), you may want to try connecting with a regional group and get on their mailing list to find out more info.

Re: Seeking Russian Camp
I can't help but ask why you want to join a Russian Camp? If it is to be within your own ethnic kind, that would be an interesting concept to consider.

Re: Seeking Russian Camp
Because having camped with rest, they prefer camp to camp with best.
There are (or were) 3 russio-centric camps (not counting ours) in past few years... in 2010 there was one 3 blocks outward from us. Lot of their members... came to nasha Pyvnaya (ilyi Vodkaya...)...
You are welcome to stop by.... if you are thinking of joining, be certain to read website Apokiliptika.com... especially our handbook, and everything else... we do have certain requirements for Party Membership... but if you are willing and able, we are able to condemn willing...

Re: Seeking Russian Camp
Maybe speaking English 24/7 is just too much.
Or maybe it's about getting the borscht just right.

I think the starter's pistol would be a natural in a quasi soviet camp. You could stage mock executions.

I have looked through the Apokiliptika website a few months ago. Very nice, and the pictures are fun.
