BRC On Map

Post by Drawingablank » Thu May 10, 2012 7:55 am

I just discovered by accident that Google Maps shows Black Rock City.

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Yup. They've been doing this for quite some time. The CEOs of Google are known burners and have even hired a few people straight off of the playa after witnessing some kick ass engineering/problem solving skills.

Huh. Kick-ass engineering? Have they been tripping the last year or so since the HQ moved?

The satellite image is from 2011, while the roads and layout are from 2010. Its cool that you can see how the city shifts from year to year.

I find it funny that someone started marking the roads and then either got bored and gave up or found some more pressing work to get done.

I'm surprised they didn't use a four-color scheme on the yellow bikes.

bob, Google Analytics have shown that White Rastafarians will steal this bike at a rate of 3.6 times higher than a green bike and 5.3 times higher than a yellow one.

I would of never of guessed you would be hanging around the ghetto by your avatar pic. Nope, never at all.

Edit: Wow, I got myself turned upside down, and thought you were south of D.
Is that the badger dome? A tall structure with an draw-bridge like door just north of an really old RV?
----
Oh! Sorry, I didn't even think about giving a tutorial about how to link. The non-my maps way that nipple and I used was to right click on top of our tents and select "get directions from here." Then copy the cords listed in A, and paste them into the search and hit enter. Then grab the link from the new page.

Wait... there's a ghetto? What does that even mean in BRC?
