Really, I've been going through hell with jealousy because my niece is a translator for German and Russian. And she's been to these places. My life got scrambled when I was young, and while I've done my best with it the sheer envy that she achieved something approximating my own dreams is horrible at times.

It was funny -- many in our group are IT folk, including him. The other IT folk specifically weren't concerned about the Y2K bug, because they knew better due to their work. But this guy... well, let's say he's the token tin-foil hatter in our group
