We are two english girls looking to join a young, fun and friendly camp!
We will be renting a car and driving from Reno but will be camping so any suggestions for cool pitch places to pitch would be very much appreciated!!
Thanks xx
It was posted in another thread in discussion of a different question, but I think Anti M's brilliant line goes well here, too:lemur wrote:a camp without geezers? at burning man?
good luck with that..
(FYI: AARP. Oh, and naturalist don't mean birders, either.)AntiM wrote:LOL, some days it looks like a freaking AARP Naturalist Convention on the playa!
Absolutely. It's a good place to get your expectations of humanity shaken up in the best way... I'm something of an intellectual the rest of the year, underemployed, reading, often isolated. Most people I interact with on a regular basis have degrees, even post-graduate degrees. Heavily skewed West Coast and Bay Area.lemur wrote:one of the things i like the most of my experiences at burning man is how all the various age groups are mixed up together in similar projects... folks of all backgrounds and skills doin stuff.. havin funs..
spending time in a 'young camp' seems like itd be kinda boring to me...

Actually "naturalist" is a birder. "Naturist" is a nudist.(FYI: AARP. Oh, and naturalist don't mean birders, either.)
Well, if we're being pedantic, a Birder can be a "naturalist", not all "naturalists" are Birders. Unless you count things like camping and sea-turtles as birds. I mean, sea turtles do lay eggs...nickn wrote:Actually "naturalist" is a birder. "Naturist" is a nudist.(FYI: AARP. Oh, and naturalist don't mean birders, either.)
