WTF so when did Indian tribes get into Pay Day Lending at rates over 300% APR?! I thought it might have been a good idea when they got into gambling, but are they turning into the mafia of the 21st century?! http://www.plaingreenloans.com

From WSJ: "Because of the sovereign immunity granted to tribes by the U.S. government, they are shielded from interest-rate caps and other payday-loan regulations."

Heaps of reservations are too remote to have profitable casinos. I kinda reckon this gets some money into them needy areas.

Maybe they'll get enough money to lend to the US?

You don't have to go anywhere. You apply online and they deposit the money into your bank account. (And probably automatically deduct the payments from that account too.)
