If you go to BM without me it will destroy our relationship.
Re: If you go to BM without me it will destroy our relations
I for one would never attend BM without my wife.
I can't imagine experiencing the even without her. I just can't. If we were unable to get two tickets, BM just wouldnt happen for us. Just the way we are. I would be miserable without her there and be a complete wretch to be around. Health issues have prevented us from attending in the recent past and financials will likely keep us away for another year or two. When the time is right, we will go. Until then, I hope everyone who is able to attend has their best burn ever this year.

So sorry to hear you won't be there, your Excellency.

Out of curiosity, how much time do you spend w/ her when you're there? 24/7 -- do you guys go off and do your own thing?MOOP_Czar wrote:I for one would never attend BM without my wife.

Re: If you go to BM without me it will destroy our relations
I, for one, will actually be looking forward to attending BMan without my partner. He and I have been together for 7 years, and we are very happy together. However, he is not into Burning Man at all (neither of us have attended; our interest/disinterest is based more on research), so to me, I'd rather he NOT be there!
I imagine that being at BRC alone, without having to babysit an unhappy overheated boyfriend, will be just fine.
i can understand wanting to go together when both partners LOVE the event...but i also hear too much talk of partners guilt tripping each other for going/ not going, getting jealous/suspicious of the partner who attends alone, etc.

Actually, an extra ticket came through for the happy couple
I'm very happy that everything worked out!

Hey, any time they want relationship advice from total strangers, send 'em on over here. We won't ask pesky questions about them or their situation; we'll just pontificate based on our own experiences -- perhaps with a healthy (?) dose of oversharing (in my case, anyway. I'm very good at oversharing).
Glad to hear things worked out, ticketwise. Here's hoping you all have a good time in the dust!

If you want drama to stop following you everywhere, try letting go of the leash.

I am just glad that you panicked sooner than later. The Bruce wrote:Actually, an extra ticket came through for the happy coupleI'm very happy that everything worked out!
I would hate to see any opportunity to panic being wasted.
