Go for the expensive bags, thick plastic & good seal. You have a plan, and it is good.tattoogoddess wrote:I was thinking of using a sandwich bag. I still have to try a few options. Also keeping it in my camelbak near the bladder cause of the heat. Doing the same with my Flip.

It's on. Fandango. Monday 1pm-ish.
Minus the gin. That stuff makes me dry heave.
Holy crap.. flashbacks. It was 2011 Monday/Tuesday/something mid-day-ish. Standing there with the girl chatting with Eric at Fandango and gazing over the playa on a hot day. I remembered that I wanted to check something out at 2pm-ish or whatever, so I ask the girl.. "Hey.. time check. What time is it?" Eric goes.. "Excuse me.. did you just say 'time check'? Take off your glasses for a second, will you?" *SMACK*.. he smacks me across the face. "Ok" he says.. "You can put them back on."... without flinching or missing a beat.
I love this man.

So, how many will be attending the live thread in the company of their sock puppets?

Re: iburn?
I contemplated turning my old bag of lonely divorced and widowed socks into a pile of sock puppets to bring to the meet'n'greet for those who, well, could use their help to represent themselves there.

Re: iburn?
I LOVE the idea of a Live Thread! Good god, improve at it's best.
The hard part will be waiting to speak in turn- no overlapping in threads. Hmmmm, do we need one of the spiritual "talking stick" thingies.
(JS- yeah, but did you timecheck the rest of the week?)

Re: iburn?
A talking stick physical post reply button maybe…. You have to have it in your hand to start talking, then put it down on the table for people to fight over take turns with when your live post is done.

Some sort of frame around the speaker representing a browser window would be good - perhaps like that TV screen the kids in Mad Max used to tell their stories - I can't find a picture. That would be a good talking stick.

I'm thinking everyone should bring a printout of their avatar to hold, or maybe even borrow one another's from time to time when we think of something someone else might post, all in good fun of course.

Re: iburn?
I will just constantly re-enact my avatar; it's easier. When someone walks up to me and says "who are you?" I'll just throw myself to the ground.burner von braun wrote:I'm thinking everyone should bring a printout of their avatar to hold, or maybe even borrow one another's from time to time when we think of something someone else might post, all in good fun of course.
