My grandmother retired from Campbell's Soup in the 1980's. She bought my family several cases of Chunky Beef and Chunky Vegetable Soup from the company store, and I took a dozen or so cans camping. A friend and I lived pretty much exclusively on the soup and booze for that week with no real bad effects. We had such a surplus that we'd throw an unopened can or two in the fire to watch them blow. If I were to do it today, and if I had some money, I'd spring for some Pork and Beans and some Corned Beef Hash to go with the soup.

When I was in the scouts we had a youngin who did a soupbomb. He was the same one who dropped a dozen .22's in the fire that caused 20 of to scatter helter-skelter into the woods...
