But there's a workaround with the fractional teaspoons, which is why I didn't expect to see a fractional Tablespoon.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
There has been this box of clothing sitting in the hallway for over 2 months. The people moved and just left it. I know it belonged to a burmeese women so it wouldnt fit my fat ass. But then I remembered I know how to sew and could make it into anything. So I went through a bit of it. So far- 2 pairs of arm warmers and a shirt. Think Im going to make the tee's into a leg warmers. I have a furry jacket. What can I make that into? Any Ideas? It is a size small.

I bet Ratti would have a million ideas of what to do with a furry jacket.
As a 'large' person, I have no concept of what to do with a small furry jacket... other than make a hat or stole with it. Maybe a mini-cape???
Once you decide what to make, be sure to share pictures

Re: One Item for BM a Day
Oops, I did it again. I bought another Harley golf cart. It's an 18.5 horse 2 cycle 3 wheeler. I spent $500 cash. The body has some cosmetic damage, but it runs perfectly. The only draw back is that I have to mix fuel 50 to 1 with oil, a minor hassle. I believe it will be a better playa buggy. I will still use my electic buggy to go to the local market. Now, I am looking for a tilt trailer and a truck to pull it.
I traveled to Sun Valley, North of Sparks in Nevada yesterday during a thunder storm. It was a hairy ride over Donner in my little Geo pulling a small trailer. The freeway was one lane and bumper to bumper.
While pulling my new cart up the trailer ramps, the muffler hit bottom, pushing a wheel off one ramp. A passerby saved the day by saying he had a ramp, and off he went. 5 minutes later, he was back. He and I lifted one side up, while the cart seller moved a ramp under the wheel. I need a new tilt trailer.
I decided to go home via Beckworth Pass instead of Donner. It is a longer road, but easier grades. Just past Vista point on Hiway 70 above Oroville, I got a flat. Luckily I had a good spare. I was tired when I got home, but it was a good tired...

Went out and bought my crystals for my neck cooler today. If you buy the soilmoist brand. Add a bit more. they don't exspand all that much. I would say 1/2 a teaspoon insted of a fourth.pretty cool little boogers.
For anyone who has done this. How long does the cooling effect last?

Until it drys out - several days.
But we soaked ours overnight when we took them off so they stay hydrated.
Before you commit to the larger quantity on all of them - test the first one by soaking it for about 5 hours - they are pretty gross when the stuff squeezes out through the fabric.

Took the plunge and ordered electric assist conversion kits for our trikes today. They probably won't arrive until late July, but that's fine.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
smart idea
I figure if i can do this i have to talk my bosses about letting me sell them at the pub as I will be there allday. So I figure a buck or 2 for each sold for them. so like 4.50 in profits for me

Re: One Item for BM a Day
Couldn't tell ya, Lucky420, I haven't seen them yet (order was placed today, they'll hopefully arrive by late July. Based on the conversations with our guy at worksman (the factory) over the last year, the conversion kit should be fairly easy (as he puts it, if you can build the bike you can install the kit). For what it's worth though I've seen some kits online that look like they're pretty painful to install. My guess is I'll be replacing the front wheel/fork assembly and then running and securing a power line from the front to the back where the battery pack would live.

I booked a box truck to get me there, haul all of my stuff, and probably setup shop in. Now to find ways to decorate it.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
I got a return call on a Craigslist ad from last month. I picked up a pvc frame mounted array of four 15 watt panels, 60 watts total. There is a 4 into one connector between the panels and controller. Only one 15 watt controller was included. I will power my camps 12 volt appliances and lights with it. I assume the panels voltage is in parallel to 12 volts.
Question: In this setup, am I getting an output of 12 volts at 60 watts? If i add in an inverter to push voltage up to 110 volts, does the wattage remain at 60 watts or does it change?

Re: One Item for BM a Day
It drops to 6ish, watts/ohms law. 60 watts at 12V is only theoretical anyway and you'll definitely need to get a bigger controller which can handle the whole array. You want all the panels in parallel, each should have a possible max open circuit voltage around 17VDC. Run it into a battery bank like it's a charger circuit, which is what the controller is and put the inverter on the battery. As memory serves I think you posted that some of the batteries you just replaced in the electric cart were still passable, two of those should do the trick. They'll charge during the day and unless you're running a lot of high drain stuff have plenty of power to play with. Even if you do run a bunch of heavy loads, the panels will slow the rate of attrition and if they don't keep up you can plug a charger into a generator for a couple hours.Oldguy wrote:I got a return call on a Craigslist ad from last month. Also ordered some lights for my coat and a used military camelbak with a new bladder.
