wrt: lighting. Last year I found a solar powered led string at Harbor Freight for about 15 bucks. It was about 10+ feet long and has been sitting all year out on my porch. Still works. Green.

Hiya ladies and gents! It's nice to be missed I'm up to my neck in projects but I think I'll make it through to the Big 2012 Burn!! My godson, The Kid and his buddies might be driving me and my rig out to the burn ('cause I am such a shitty long distance driver) then they'll car pool it back home (after they find trouble in gerlach or dawg who knows where, maybe that art car ranch up the way). If I drive it alone then, whoa! one tired moon will be floating in on a cloud of fumes and dust, but I'll get there!
mal-mart Fernely staging area plan is still in the works of course...ya just never know where you'll end up these days.


Is BDCamp/Village still seeking a big giant barbie? I can keep my eyes peeled at the numerous Tahoe yard sales...I'm hopeful there's a lonely big giant Barbie doll just waiting to be 'adopted" or is that 'adapted" both I'm thinking...

We bought some solar lights at the dollar store and put them on my garden fence as rebar caps. Dang things stayed lit until dawn. Wonderfully tacky stars and stripes, we may bring them out with us.

Pyro are you starting work on camper/tent placement next month?

I haven't exactly made it "official", but we are already accepting space requests. (email me if you have a request) You can request as much space as you think you'll need (for example an RV might have 15' X 40' whereas several tents may have 20' X 25'), if you want to be next to or near somebody we will try to accommodate, seniority/theme camps (such as Dye With Dignity, AntiM's HFWA, BDC&WB) get priority street frontage, etc. Tracy will start putting the map together probably mid-July but as of now feel free to request. Keep in mind until the BMOrg actually gives us our space and dimensions, nothing can be guaranteed. But assuming that we get what we had last year, and that is what we are basing your requests upon, we should be able to give you what you need.

For those interested this is the basic design, however note that there will be some changes to the text layout. The 2012 will be moved to the bottom and will say Burning Man 2012.
