On a side note, since we got tickets my husband has become a planning, building madman. It has sparked his inner 'I must do man stuff' spirit. Shade structures, water storage, tents, oh my! He has been mad impressed with how much cool info he has gotten off the eplay preparation threads. He made his tent decision (Kodiak) based on eplaya info (and other research) and on the shade structure. He reads about making structures hold up in high winds and dust storms, while I plan how many pairs of fishnet stockings I will need, and read the threads about how my boobs will fare on the playa and how I can wash my hair and leave no trace. A match made in heaven. Thanks to all who post all that information, it really helps!

One of my campmates just purchased two tickets through STEP. Her original confirmation email timestamp is 12:16:23. By the way, her email offering the STEP purchase came Monday afternoon. (It took her a while to perform the purchase.)

She now only needs one of the tickets, so she is putting one back into STEP! Unfortunately, this process is slow as there appears to be no automated way to do it. Apparently people who purchased a ticket in the original sale were sent an email with a link to resell those tickets in STEP, but people who purchased their tickets via STEP did not get that email. Per the STEP FAQ, she had to email Online Support to get a link to resell one ticket back into STEP. She is now waiting to hear back from Online Support.

So the good news is that there's another ticket going back into STEP soon, but the bad news is that it's not immediately.

It's not that they don't mean anything, just that they are only accurate to within +/- 5 minutes, and not necessarily in sequential order.

Actually, I have been under the impression that some of the variation in timestamp returns here has been that there are, in a sense, two lists. The people that requested one ticket, and the people that requested two, as pairs of tickets that are turned into STEP arent being split into two singles to satisfy single ticket orders. You could add this to whatever server time variations there are.

From what people are reporting here +/- 5 minutes seems extreme, but :30 to a minute difference with those factors taken into account is realistic.

From what I understand, the list is being gone through in chronological order. If one ticket comes up when there's a two ticket order, it sits, along with any other one ticket availables until a two ticket available fulfills that two ticket order. Then the single tickets are sold to the next single ticket requests, until they run out or there's another 2 ticket order in the queue.

Received my STEP email today. Clicked the link and didn't have my bank card around. The window closed and now I can not get the link to work again to purchase the tickets. I just emailed support. Is there anything else i can do? After waiting this long it's a bit of a bummer. 72 hours just started ticking. Any help would be wonderful. It's been a horrible day. Thanks in a advance.
