Re: Tickets in the mail !
yeah, you get an email notifying that your ticket is on the mail. The email also has the tracking number.

I have never, ever received an email confirmation that my tickets have been sent. They just show up.

Re: Tickets in the mail !
I picked delivery to Canada when I originally purchased my presale tickets, and I've inquired with the ticket people a few times since then because my confirmation said 'Will Call pick up".. and I never got a reply since Jan.6th. Why couldn't the ticket people be as compitent as Trilo or Eric.
I didn't get any notification that my tickets have been sent yet..

We got the "Burning Man Tickets Shipment Notification" email yesterday with a tracking number.junglesmacks wrote:wh..sh wrote:yeah, you get an email notifying that your ticket is on the mail. The email also has the tracking number.

Oh and the tracking number is pretty useless.
The USPS site says:
"Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office. "

What a trip! I just contacted them again (via email through their website), wondering why I haven't heard anything in a few months, and they called me within two minutes and figured it all out. That was weird.. but it quickly restored my faith in the BM ticket people.
Yay!
EDIT: The guy sounded pretty burnt out on the phone.. like they`ve been working their asses off for a while. I`m pretty impressed with the speed in response during this phase of the ticket mailing process.

In my experience, that means it's too early for there to be any tracking information. Try again tomorrow.wh..sh wrote:We got the "Burning Man Tickets Shipment Notification" email yesterday with a tracking number.junglesmacks wrote:wh..sh wrote:yeah, you get an email notifying that your ticket is on the mail. I wouldn't want to trade places with folks in ticketing (or will call, or whatever) even on an ordinary year, would you?

Upon reading the "instructions" (usually when all else fails), it takes 48 hrs for them to update the tracking information.Savannah wrote:In my experience, that means it's too early for there to be any tracking information. Try again tomorrow.

Re: Tickets in the mail !
So I'm guessing the "extra" tickets are not going into STEP or anywhere else since tickets are starting to mail? It would be nice, since the BMORG dropped a hint of the possibility of more tickets in the Burning Blog last week, for them to let us know either way. However, vagueness is their modus operandi.

Thanks, what did I do wrong?
Hope this is not a bad thing, I'm sure everyone wants to know what they look like.
Surprised me, had a fireball included.

Re: Tickets in the mail !
Flickr is a bit trick (& There may be other ways to do it) but basically need to get the link to the image itself not just the link they provide to "share." If you click the image enough times you end up on a page that allows you to choose your size. The link you want to use needs to end in an image file (jpg, png, gif...etc)
And indeed we want to see it no reason to worry. Thanks for being so quick!!
EDIT to add: I hope I get a lemonhead this year. I'm not fond of cinnamon candy. But either way I'll be glad once I get them.
