Although I was awarded with a low-income ticket, I got a link for STEP. I would really like to buy it for a friend (I would give his billing details), but have no idea if I'm entitled to do it. Does the fact that I got a LI ticket prevent me from purchasing on STEP? If so, why was I given this option in the first place?
Also, both tickets are only redeemable at the entrance.

If anyone was in the same situation, please let me know. Thanks!

1) You are not entitled to do it. STEP is only for people who entered in the lotteries & didn't get tickets. If you've acquired a ticket by any other means you are ineliglible for STEP, and even if you were eligible the tickets have to be purchased in the name of the person who originally entered the Lottery and then they are non-transferable. IE: you would have to both buy & use the ticket.

2) On a realistic note: the STEP queue has been closed for months (it closed some 20+ minutes after it opened & hasn't been reopened since). Just having a link doesn't get you into STEP, and there are people who have been in for months who are still waiting to see if they get tickets. Your friend will have to do the same hunting as everyone else: craigslist, other burners, manifesting...

I think it was that help may have been on the way, but that it was up to you to keep yourself out of danger until then...

No word from STEP yet, but friends of ours who got in right about the same time we did got a STEP offer on Sunday and bought them, which means that six others of us who were in line holding out for just one more ticket are jumping out.

Tickets are starting to trickle through the PDX community outside of STEP too, and I ran into a guy who bought them from a "scalper" at $50 over per ticket. No idea how that will work out but he know my opinion on the matter.

Don't lose faith, moonbabyy! keep doing what u can to find a ticket (from other burners, etc) and keep waiting on STEP---i know it starts to seem hopeless...for a couple months, i had resigned myself the fact that i was "not going". even when the 12:16ers started getting tix, it still took a couple weeks for me to get mine. i was sure that i'd be skipped or something. and then, BOOM, when i least expected it, STEP link in mailbox

my step link came while i was playing at the beach with my sister, not while i was staring at my inbox (which i was doing A LOT of at that time). so the solution is: go do something fun and frivolous, take a break from the computer. your link might just be waiting for u when u get back

Offered on Monday at around 5:00PM
(2) Tickets @ $420 each

yes. my campmate got an email notice 2 days ago. STILL no word regarding extra STEP tickets. the suspense is killing me...

I'm feeling a little anxious as are the rest of you. My greatest concern is I might miss the message. My time stamp is 12:17 so I feel it is close. For someone who has gotten a STEP ticket, how was the message addressed? Is it obvious who it is from or what it's about? I'm afraid it might get sent to the SPAM folder or something. Any answer would be greatly appreciated. sorry I sound like a nervous nellie but you know how it is...Thanks

I got my STEP ticket offer Monday at 720pm (Original Timestamp 12:16:53) Since I was awarded a ticket from a theme camp I am not sure why I was still offered two as I only needed one and was told that they would be scouring STEP for people that received theme camp tickets. So as soon as I can figure out how to resell [b][i]one[/i][/b] back to STEP, there will be another coming available (if I don't fuck it up) Any one have to sell one of their pair from STEP back into the Matrix? I just don't want to lose both. Help....

We received confirmation yesterday that our spare ticket has been sold back through STEP @ $390.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't have to purchase the STEP ticket. Just let the offer expire and the tickets automatically go back into the queue.
