Does anybody know who built that or how it worked? I can't figure it out from the pictures.

Maybe the rider in the rear "bounce-propells" it forward.

(always ready with a wacky theory!)

2 operations

Post by swampdog » Thu Sep 23, 2004 12:50 pm

I saw this on the playa and thought it was WAY cool. I think that it's basically 2 operations - a 2 wheel push cart that was pushed and steered by the people (probably mostly the back) when they hit bottom, then a wholly independent teeter totter action.

If the builder of this is reading eplaya - a big WOW to you.

Yeah, a big fucking WOW for leaving the damn thing disassembled on the playa so that DPW would have more shit to clean up after.

The Peter Totter! Look carefully at the frame near the axle and you'll see the name in red script. It's sent bouncing back upward by means of the spring under each rider's ass.
Looked way kewl in operation.

/\ when I saw it,It worked very well;>0 Both rider made a stroke(w/there legs) to move it forward. The person in the back was steering. Real simple thing. To bad they dumped it on the playa for others to pick up.
