Burning Man artist on TV

Post by buckethead alien » Thu Sep 23, 2004 1:00 pm

Michael Light, the creator of the 100 Suns photographic installation at Burning Man in 2002 and the Full Moon installation in 2000, will be on television next Friday night. Both projects were seen in BRC before anywhere else.

Here's something he sent out about the segment:

On Friday October 1, from 10-11pm EST and 7-8 pm PST, CNN’s “Newsnight with Aaron Brown” will be airing a 3 minute segment on my recent work 100 SUNS, with yours truly narrating.   They filmed me in my studio for an hour and a half, so who knows what kind of unrecognizably edited creation may beam out over the land, but it should be amusing to watch at the very least.  At a hopeful most, the piece might just get out a fairly edgy message in these dark days.  Not having a TV, and making a particular point never to see myself on the medium, I’ll rely on you to report back to me.
