These scenarios kinda remind me of something that happened 5 blocks from my home a few years back.
I live within 5 miles of New York City. A few years ago a NYC cop chased his girlfriend for miles (in cars) and she pulled into our police station lot. He gunned her dow with her hand on the door of the police station.
Granted there is probably no place safer than that to transact a ticket deal, but even that is not 100% safe.

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Re: Sticky "Regarding Ticket Scalpers & Scammers"
I just wonder what the police have to say about ticket exchanges at a station. Isn't it interfering with their place of business? I have trouble believing that all sorts of cash transactions are taking place in their lobby and that they are okay with that.

They're our police. We pay 'em. They are there for our protection. I'd think of it as a compliment if I were a cop.

Re: Sticky "Regarding Ticket Scalpers & Scammers"
I have a question about the Ticket Scalpers and Scammers post Trilobyte put up. That long list of voided ticket numbers that will not be valid at the gate, are those on paper tickets? or just will call confirmations? or both? I guess what I'm wondering is if someone has an authentic ticket in hand, is it possible that the ticket has been voided?
Thanks

Yes. If you bought from a dodgy source...

I haven't bought yet, but with so many people suddenly posting tickets for sale I just want to make sure I understand the many ways there are to get scammed.
