We are SO bored today.

TodoInTX, the rideshare board might easily work, but talking to your neighbors at the event might be even better. You can also maintain a flexible frame of mind. Maybe when she goes, you'll want to go with her. Frankly, I don't like everyone having to leave a party just 'cause I have to.

I cannot officially recommend it, because I'm not much of a hitch-hiker myself, but if it were just me trying to get out of the event and someone was bringing my stuff later, I'd go out to exodus with a big bottle of water, some sunscreen, electrolyte powder, a snack, a hat, sunglasses, 1 bag, and a sign marked RENO and look for cars/RVs from whom I got a comfortable vibe. A little to offer for gas is kind.

A huge number of vehicles are headed for Reno.

yup. I picked up a gal at the gate couple years ago Sat. morning before the man burned & gave her a ride to the airport in Reno. She said she had only been waiting 15 mins or so.

FWIW, some schools are different. The girl just started school at a private hospital-college and they have a FIRM policy that if you miss the first day of class, you fail the class. No exceptions. Seriously.

Thank GOD she's got this magic schedule that I've never even heard of being so nice. Summer term ends Aug 17 and Fall term begins Sept 10. Yeah. We about fainted when we found that out.

Another thought is that depending on the school and teacher the policy can vary. Though, in some of my classes that were full and people were on "wait list" if you weren't in your seat on day one, you were assumed to have "dropped" the class and someone wait listed got your seat. We'd get your money back, but you might not be able to get into another of that class until the next semester. General Eds were the worst! Physics, Calculus, and English you would have 5-10 people lining the walls waiting for an open seat.

One of my friends here in Denver had a schedule like that at here "accelerated" Accounting School. There was a Fall, Winter, Spring, and optional Summer semester. So instead of 3 semesters a year like traditional school, it was 4 semesters every year- all year!

FWIW, I rather think it was 4 quarters...

Agreed, sorta. Though, 4 Quarters makes me think of Grade School. With 2 Quarters per semester and 2 semesters per year.
