I got my solar/wind up radio/torch/bottle opener in the mail.

Now we can listen to the radio on the playa and I don’t have to find any batteries!

It is pretty fancy

I was especially taken that it has a beer bottle opener on the side (how very Australian)

I got my AAA battery special that someone from here told me about. Got 50 button cells and my battery light string all in the mail today. Cant wait to sew the lights on to my wings. they are BRIGHT!!! And where like $4 i think.

currently re-inforcing and comfy-fying all my pants (restitching seams, removing scratchy tags, making items smaller or bigger).

my new rule: if it comes to the PLaya, it must be COMFY! (and non-MOOPY) even my elaborate "costumes" are being made with comfort in mind. lots of stretchy cotton/jersey knits, well-fitted (no shifting or bunching), sturdy, etc.

this morning, tailoring a pair of belly dance pants to make them stay up more securely.

Just look at what I scored at an auction today for only $20. Tires and paint is all it needs....3 speed no less. Heavy on the 30 weight on the shifter.......

Found a pair of goggles at the thrift store for $6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They look hardly worn, and they have vented sides with foam over them--so I should be comfortable AND dust free!

If your goggles are tinted you may want to pick up a clear pair for at night or it is nice to have a spare pair too. Because it would suck to lose your one and only pair out there.

Don't be fooled by the pic, tattoogoddess, you get what you pay for. I got a couple that are similar to that via eBay last year, they're pretty crap goggles. What looks like shiny metal is actually really cheap plastic with a chrome finish. Last year's weather was extremely mild, and they didn't really do a good job for me.

Good call on sewing for comfort, FeetOfClay.

Awesome bench, Bounce! Depending on whether some campmates are able to dive in and take on the task I may need to make one of their benches and a couple bike racks.

I got an order in for t-shirts for campmates, as well as a few silk screening supplies.

Ken and I did a run through of the setup when people come in to Dye things. He kept a running list of things that I said would need. Glad he made me do that run through or I'd be out on the playa saying "I wish I had a ..." Getting all that stuff tonight. I hate wallyworld, but sometimes for convenience sake it's necessary.
