No, but went to gather intel on some BM items (comparison-shopping for a new cooler, mostly), so that was kind of like the same thing?

Yes. A wasp and I decided to take a bite of the same plum at the same time. My eyes were closed, so I didn't see him (her?). That's when I learned I have an anaphylactic reaction to their stings.

I don't know the poem, but I do like "Bernie Gunther"'s use of "plum" as a name for womanly bits.

I had to re-read that because I agreed it was an addition to my big book of ephemera. But I'm not sure one would have a book of ephemera... that would be oxymoronic I think.

Raspberries... fresh raspberries at the fruit market these days.
(And, yes, my big book of euphemisms has been updated. It's woefully sparse, that book. Shockingly, I never had "Pink Cadillac" in there until just the other day. I know!)
TPBM can tell me at least one other euphemism that's also a Barbie toy.

remember learning in High School about the LaMarckian theories of evolution that predated Darwin and thinking they were stolen from children's stories. And now I see things about this new epigenetics, and it makes me think there was a kernel of truth to it all along.
