ultratang7 wrote:??? I'm confused! I just got an email telling me that I can get tickets through STEP, but I've already bought and paid for my ticket through my Camp distribution. Does this mean I can buy one more ticket or two? I'm still getting the first one, right? I've paid for it and have the comfirmation #. :|
This reply is not directly for ultratang7, but for all STEPPERS who have secured tickets by other means...

If you already have a ticket(s), accepting a STEP offer for more tickets is hoarding - in my humble opinion.
Please give ticket-less STEPPERS a chance to get to the playa. By accepting the STEP offer, you are probably depriving someone who has been unable to secure a ticket by other means (unlike lucky you) their last chance to burn like you. There.

The numbers on the STEP queue are unknown but there are no guarantees that 1000 tickets will cover all remaining STEPPERS.

OK, I'm stepping down from the soapbox...

When I initially applied for the lottery, i applied for 2 tickets, me and one of my best friends. I didn't make the cut, but was invited into the STEP program, right about the same time my camp was allotted tickets, and i was given 1. My friend put his cards with me in the original lottery. We only wanted to enter once, to keep it fair. So, now I have an option to help him out again.

Did I miss Arnoldo getting a ticket this weekend, or are we all waiting on him still?

I got my STEP ticket notification yesterday. I initially thought I was in the 12:16 slot, but looking at my STEP notification confirmation, I was actually at 12:17.

I thought I would have been scrubbed because I have a volunteer tix already, but received the notification anyway. Obviously, I won't be needing the (1) offered.

It was at the $390 level BTW.

I believe there was an early poster in this thread that had the same situation. She did have to buy both tickets through STEP, then turned around and put the ticket back into STEP. Not sure if there ends up being any service charge. You may want to e-mail BMORG to see if you could just purchase the one of the two tickets. I personally got a distributed ticket and days later got the STEP ticket e-mail (for $70 less). I let the STEP ticket go back into the pool and kept the more expensive distributed one.

I am happy for all STEPpers today!!! I hope that they are now covering everyone who was in the pool. Consider 2000 registrants must equal about 3000-3500 tickets, minus tickets already transferred, minus people who got tickets through other methods, I think that STEP would be covered. If not, it would be just wrong to have another "private sale" before taking care of the people waiting for months now!!!!

Yeah, what Sav said. I'm waiting for Arnoldo to post a followup before I'll uncross.

I can't eat, sleep or take a piss untill Arnoldo comes in here publicly declairing he's 100% going. Where is that fugger? Damn it, we need closure here! (although, I have heard he received a ticket through another mean, that's just enough to take the edge off!)

Hey STEPpers,

Do any of you have a theory as to why it appears to be taking longer than I expected for these 1,000 tickets to hit our email inboxes?

Is there a limit to the number of open STEP offers at any given time?

My theory is that it will take all week because each STEP email is handcrafted with sincere love and care. Nevermind that the emails all appear computer generated.

Lol. Considering the amount of people who got into STEP on eplaya it does seem to be going rather slow. 2:21:45 checking in with nothing yet.
