If you can find a basket the same size as the one on the back, use a couple of hose clamps for hinges and make a lockable trunk. 8)

Shycat, it was a deep blue/faded when I got it. I shot it a regular solid blue, and then put stripes and spots on it in flourescent green. Since the photo, I cleaned the overspray from the rubber on the tires....looks a lot "neater". I have no idea where the color scheme came from, I guess deep down I like these colors. The flag is the same fabric I made a kimono and vest from...way too OCD of me.

Oooo, I like that idea. lockable trunk will be great on that bike.

Thats what I did with mine.

The hose clamps are at the back of the seat.

A padlock at the very back locks the baskets together.

All my gear that would go in a backpack goes in the "trunk".

I have'nt brought a backpack to the playa yet! 8)

The steering can fold to the upright possition to use as a community ashtray. 8)

Fig, I likee that a lot...your original bikes' design is quite different from my Colombia. I wish mine was lower to the ground, as I tried it around here a bit. I forgot that the playa is flat. My place here is not. I will use it on the playa only, so there is no problem with hills. I used a 2 wheel bike last year, with the single basket on the handlebars. I don't carry a backpack, and all I needed was in my front basket...extra T-shirt, camera, biggass waterbottle, a bunch of CDs I was giving away. I am really wondering if I even need the big rear basket, but since it is in the design, it stays. I may need it to carry some female companion I am hoping to meet on the playa this year. "Hey baby, wanna go for a ride"? How deboner. I did put a nice new squeaky-horn on it for this year....it makes the same noise as my Boy-Dog Stinkos' squeaky-toy. He thinks I am a God. The God of Squeakies.

mgb, if you're half as debonair as Stinko is handsome I'm sure you'll have no trouble with the ladies, especially with a sweet ride like that :)

Sorted the house booze, found the box o' booze we forget to take last year. That saves some money. Some of it is camp booze, some it give away booze. Whole box of red wines for BDCWB.

It's not much but the ZAST has new taillight and headlight assemblies. Found them for cheap after backing into a tree and crushing a taillight while parking in a tight space. The old headlights were twenty years of ozone oxide yellow and good light output up front makes the trip to BRC that much smoother. Now that it's getting dark I'm heading out shortly to line them up.

Going threw my bags right now moving stuff around and seeing if there is anymore packaging that can be removed. Also noticed I need to seal around my googles a bit better as they are only losely sewn around the edges so I super glued them. Trying to see if I am missing anything super critical.

Can I set up a recurring daily post that says "read eplaya"? :) I'll post for yesterday since I just found this thread today: "Planned driving logistics for our group of 9 (coming from 4 different cities), refreshed email continuously waiting for ticket shipment confirmation"

Scored this three piece set for 25% of retail. It all folds. Pink and it's begging for artistic embellishment!

ummm I think i should order some of those tasty bites from there! So yum yum. Also check out ebay I have gotten most of my stuff from there. if you get free shipping it makes it one hell of a deal. Im looking at another site that has them in 3 packs. Im thinking I might just say f-it and take my food with me on the train instead of going shopping. 14 of those taste bites does not take up to much room.

Went and test runned my clothing bag packing last night. To my pleasant suprise... my bag is half full and I have almost every item of clothing I need in there. Looks like I can bring more! yay!

Love those trikes! I wish I could have one but I don't think it would fit on the bike rack... even if I could find a cheap one!

I did get me some dry bike lube, then threw my back out so I couldn't do the bike tune-up I had planned. So instead I finished my fleece cloak. I'm terribly happy with it :D

That is a great cloak tahiti_treat!

I received the two sarongs I ordered and they are AWESOME!!! I am going to need to get more practiced at securing them so I don't end up a shirtcocker. The colors and fabric are fantastic.

Squirrelhead. (I am gleeful for you).

Go to a fabric store--or shop online--for KILT PINS. They're cheap. Buy four.
