Wouldn't it be PERFECT if, in the end, there was ONE ticket left over unsold on the last day, and Burning Man did NOT sell out this year after all?

Wow-- this day just keeps getting better and better.
Woke up to our STEP email and bought tickets before 6am- and it's been so fun watching all the familier names also getting tickets...
Then tonight we heard from our camp organizer that we got excellent placement this year at 9:30 & Begonia.
I hope all you STEPpers come by Tuesday orThursday afternoon for Kreme Brulees .

The only plausible explanation for Arnoldo having gone missing is that he must have received his ticket, but is currently hospitalized due to a joy overdose.

sure seems like a slow-ish trickle in STEP to me. i've written this before, but this week should be telling!!!! or maybe next week...

the question is, will STEP finish before arnoldo posts something?

Politely emailed some peeps, They actually got back to me very quickly... The 1000 STEP tickets were all sent out on Sunday... sorry news for all the patient... fingers crossed that some peeps are waiting last minute of the 72 hours they have to decide whether to accept or decline...

There are a number of folks on this thread alone that are not going to be purchasing the offered tix (myself included). I received my notification on Sunday AM, so it will expire tomorrow AM. I would expect another wave of tix to hit then.

Here at eplaya people have been reporting receipt of the "buy a STEP ticket" email at irregular intervals, which contradicts the information in your post.

So 1000 tickets = 12:17-12:18? I dunno, that really only makes sense if there are a lot more people in STEP than originally reported.

I'm hoping that's the case. I'm really surprised that 1000 tickets don't even get us from the 12:17s to the 12:18s (where I'm at, incidentally). Ah well, I'm still optimistic.

Agreed. It was reported some time in May that 1000 tickets had already been sold through STEP, I believe we were somewhere in the 12:10 to 12:13 range at the time. Even if every one of those people had ordered 2 each, that's 500 people out of the 2000. Who knows how many tickets were sold between then and when the 1000 ticket infusion was announced, but let's be conservative and say 200, each going to a person ordering 2. So, that's 600 people before this recent announcement, and let's say all the 1000 new tickets go to people ordering 2 each, that's 1100 out of the 2000 people. Which, goddamn, seems about right for the 12:17 - 12:18 timestamps.

That makes a lot of sense... didn't realize you didn't have the option of just declining it, so yeah there should be a little wave come tomorrow AM... the source was a good source, sometimes all you have to do is ask...

I highly doubt that all went out all at once, because I got my offer at 5:30 am Monday morning, not Sunday... maybe just circumstancial
