We got a couple phone calls today and to answer questions in advance, No you do not need reservations. Yes we think we got enough grass for everyone (camping spaces) if necessary, we might ask some "rigs' to pull into the street and leave the grass for sleeping bags or naked bodies.
Yes we are a clothing optional resort for the week leading up to BM and we are closed to the general pubic.
If you go to the website below and remove the webcam from the url you can see our home page.

I go Salem, Bend, Lakeview, Cedarvill, and Black Rock City. 574 miles to home, 8:30 and the potty bank.
There is a RV Camp some where after Cedarvill. Mid afternoon. Looks to be a pile of rock and dust.
I was thinking of a two day trip this year

I think it is like only 30 miles further to come down through Klamath Falls, through Tulelake, past Alturas then Cedarville etc..unjonharley wrote:The Nest is out of my travel way.wedeliver wrote:bump

I may stop in for some shut eye depending on when I am passing through and when I need to hit the gate to be placed by the placers. Like many I have wanted to stop in for years! I love the scenery in that area and the stars are amazing.
How is the night time noise level?

Until the burners come you can hear a pin drop a mile away. People do a little bit of after dark stuff, but in the past years by 11 or 12 its pretty quite I think. We got emt types etc that come through here in the weeks before the event, same deal, its free, then we close the park to the general public, we post our signs "The Burners are Coming" for the week before, its your place, please leave it clean and tidy.motskyroonmatick wrote:I may stop in for some shut eye depending on when I am passing through and when I need to hit the gate to be placed by the placers. Re: Eagles Nest RV Park
It is so fantastic to see you all. Or not see you guys who I don't see. But either way I know you where here and for those who I missed, big hug and have a great burn.
And for those that we fell in love with, wow, your spirit and energy turn both my wife and I on in so many ways. I really find it hard, in that I am trying to say something but the words are hard to find. Thank you so much for stopping here however briefly.
In some way I fell like we are a part of every camp that comes through here. Naturally not everyone in the world always gets along, but here, year after year we see the same lovely people and it just makes me feel so fucking good.

Re: Eagles Nest RV Park
Same plans this year as the last six. If you are coming from the Pacific Northwest and we are on your route you might consider stopping here to refresh. We also have space for advance construction, storage etc.
Free, water, dry camping on grass. smiles!

This is a great place to stop on the way to the burn. I will be stopping in again this year. It was free to camp, but I still gave $5 and a bottle of wine.
Thank you Eagle's nest!

Re: Eagles Nest RV Park
I love this place.
It is where we have been going each year pre and post burn, a shower, we see other burners from B.C. PDX, and beyond.
We were comming through Alturas in'09 and WeDelivers son who was working at a gasstation saw us and gave us directions. I hadn't been to TTITD yet but that night was like one long welcome home. Aslo cool was rolling out as a mass croud and seing new friends while in line.
Thanks Eagle's nest.

Re: Eagles Nest RV Park
It was a month ago that the above post was made and I have been planning on making this reply since then. I remember you, and we sure appreciated your gifts. The wine was fine and we enjoyed it very much.ldzpstnr wrote:This is a great place to stop on the way to the burn. I will be stopping in again this year. I do wish to say the following about gifts to us for offering a place for you guys to rest, etc. Naturally I find it hard to refuse a gift, especially cash, but this year if you were thinking of offering a cash gift to us, please don't. I don't mean this to be offensive, but you wonderful people kinda wipe out my free gift when you pay for it. I guess, what I am trying to say is I love you all and if I get 2 minutes of your time, to talk, smile and laugh, then I have everything I could possible want.
thank you in advance for accepting my gift! We look forward to everyone who visits.
