So I'm looking to help out with a theme camp, preferably based in Portland, Oregon. Anyone need new members? I can do all kinds of helpful things, including providing amazing back massages

They should combine with the Forest Grove and Hillsboro tweakers and form a totally dysfunctional village.junglesmacks wrote:I say you have a Coos Bay subsection so the meth heads with 4x4s can have their own play area too..

We are open to new members but so far our camp members are all virgins. Perhaps you can teach us a few things? Black Rock City Parks and Recreation has members in Portland/Vancouver, the gorge, Seattle, a few from other states and our mutant vehicle/equipment building base is in the gorge about 100 miles east of Portland. We can always use help and friendly advice:-) Still waiting to hear about placement but so far we are about 16 members. We did get the OK to bring a mutant vehicle, a 20 foot long windsurf board and sail with seating on the deck of the board. We ask for no dues but any physical help would be happily accepted. Our theme camp plan is for a 24'x32' bumper car park with foot powered bumper cars, swings, revolving teeter totters and misted park benches. Pretty mellow family friendly camp and low time commitment on playa although we are hoping everyone in the camp will volunteer with one of the many options available with greeters, ice, etc. We will have all the infrastructure for the camp like shower, kitchen and shade but expect members to bring their own water, personal gear, shelter and food. If you have not found a camp yet you are welcome and let me know if you have any interest:-)MMburner wrote:So it seems that a lot of people are short members this year for their theme camps. I normally have a smallish non-theme camp, but like everyone else, only a few people in my crew got tickets. So rather than camping all by my lonesome, I think this is a great opportunity to join a theme camp for a change. It will bring new experience and ideas to theme camps and bring non-theme campers together with the big camps.
