WOO-HOO!!!

Post by wovenone » Thu Sep 09, 2004 6:24 pm

since several people have viewed my post without responding, it's somewhat safe to assume you were expecting a party! :D but i was just overcome for a spastic moment and couldn't think of anything to do but share the moment. but seriously, tonight is eighties night, the best (only) dance party in eugene! i'll be there - the one shakin' her booty.

most often i start out by cradling the solid vessel to my heart and smell its sloshing contents while stumbling/sighing through the bar crowd onto the open air of the dance floor, at which point i do shoot or sip, depending on whether i've got someone to talk to or not. last week buttheads sloshed my prize over my hands, which i will not lick in public.

it's strange how eugene burners are so hard to meet and how potential friends in general are not wearing neon orange vests that say come talk to me i'm nice. damn it, you cool people are all far away.

it's eighties night! i'm going to take a nap and then try to find somethin' rad to wear. last week i brought socially-and-environmentally-conscious quotes and a sharpie for the girls room. there's so much stuff in there with chicks bashing other chicks, i keep meaning to add something counteracting. it was satisfying, especially since last week i was kind of too tired to dance as much as usual. here they are in full unapproved glory (they aren't my quotes) : 'unless we do something urgent, my two-year-old son will enter adulthood in a world neither he nor i want to contemplate' and '# of board feet of lumber buried each year in us cemeteries: 30 million. # of 2000-square-foot homes this would construct: 15,000' and 'you could be dynamos of power and transformation, but you have limited yourselves, and in limitation you can do dreadful things' (that was by the deva of the golden conifer). i must'a got playa dust on my brain hinges. oh, yeah.
