day use permit Pyramid Lake

Hi,
I am reading and searching the board and the BM site and the internet, however one question about the Pyramid Lake day use permit.

What does "day use" mean. As I understand it, it is only required when one does an activity on or around the lake / land of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe.

So, driving through the area, do some last minute shopping, get fuel in Nixon, this all does not require a day use permit. Right??

You a re correct, you do not need the permit.

No, not to drive.
Day use would be activity around the lake or other allowed areas.
It's a nice place to camp if you have time before or after the event.
Refreshing just to see the lake after the playa.
Some areas are day only, and others are camping too.
You need a camping permit to camp.

You need a permit to park and look around the lake. Day use. They are available online. The time frames are listed on the pyramid lake website. Camping overnight is another permit. This is a well patrolled road.
