Did you drive with that solar panel mounted to the roof last year? I am willing to be surprised, but skeptical that a flat sheet of normal glass and fragile monocrystalline cells would hold up to road vibrations. I'd wrap it up in foam and mount it on site.

Cooking up the bacon today...unfortunately ended up eating a handful of it for lunch (me and Mr.) but that's okay and OMG yum! Prepped black water buckets with kitty litter inside and heavy duty trash-compactor bags. Prepped grey water evap system. Back to work on the Waterboat costumes.

Dug out the heads for camp art. They haven't been to the playa since 2004.

Yeah I heard about that. Struck when the dust storms hit - I guess we should all be very careful this year

Just got back from my own little prepare-for-the-playa camping trip where the weather was 98+ each day! Over the 3-day trip we ested out our new cooler system with dry ice, tested (and approved!) a new meat marinade, I finished a few little costume projects, and started making the Official Packing Lists.

Holy Schnikees, only 3 weekends left of prep time!!!

I had to re wash 1/2 of my clothing for the burn. It was all packed up sitting on the floor and teddy thought he would add some pre funk and pee on it. NOT happy.

Finished work - 5 weeks off. A stressful day but I think it counts as a task for the day.

D'oh… been there a few times, melodiousdirge.

Woohoo, melaniejane!

I got the last of the standees cut out for out in front of the deli. Bonus points for being able to get on the tool early, and then double bonus points for somebody canceling a laser cutter appointment tonight. I got a couple more hours time with that, and got another sheet's worth of tags etched and cut out. Earlier in the day I also got the chance to spend a bit of time in the studio bouncing tracks and loops around. Came up with some fun ideas I want to circle back around on soon.

Had 25% of my teeth pulled - so hopefully this burn will be toothache free.

Booked my flight home, and my room for sunday night.
Ken has disassembled the large monkey hut.
Made several to do lists. One for food, one for other kinds of supplies, and one for things yet to be made/constructed.
we oiled gears, etc on bikes. figured out which lights were going on them this year.

Tonight we make decisions on what we have to let go of.

Got most of the decorating of my new playa bike done. Spoke lights are in, and 3 of 4 LED ropes are wrapped on. Only need to add some flowers, and possibly a basket on the rack.

Almost all dry food and condiments are packed away and ready to go.

My aluminet order should be arriving any day now....

i guess my item for today is to go find the vacuum sealer in the garage and test out making a meal and sealing it up. if not, i plan to use heavy duty freezer bags instead.

Hello Drinksoy!
I disagree with your username. I drink Almond milk. and most recently, the almond/coconut blend. that shit is off the chain.

Welcome DrinkSoy...I'm a rice drinker myself but appreciate that those of us who can't do moo, now have so many choices!

Just put myself on the Burner Map Facecrack app. It's a cool idea, hope it works.

Almost done with Waterboat #3 and have 4, 5, & 6, started in the first stages. Now that I know what I'm doing...it's much faster! It basically takes a day to make one and I am shooting for 10.

I'm not supposed to drink soy according to my doc. So organic moo will do, almond gives me the shits, and I'm not overly fond of rice or coconut milks, although I'll use them for some things.
