But can you do a good interrogation? I bet you can put more than 20% more doom into one. That's contributing in my book. And yeah, as I said, in our camp some people have more $$$ than others.theCryptofishist wrote:I pay dues, and, since they cover the cost of an accessible port-a-potty, I'm okay with that. Also, I can't haul much. I can't put things up and take them down again. I can't build infrastructure. Contributing to the porta potty and the kitchen via dues, as well as directly makes me feel that I am contributing. I think that there a wide range of what works for different camps with different situations.
I also think that selling your camp allotment tickets in this way is creepy. I have an allotment ticket, and I've never been quite comfortable with that decision. But Apokalyptika was my camp before the whole ticket implosion happened, I didn't choose to go there because that was the way I was going to get in.

Re: selling real estate on Esplanade
EVERYDAY....the people on eplaya participate and share, and snark, and question and wonder.
it's fucking beautiful.
we all add to the Stew different ingredients, no one spice or staple any more important than the next.
Fishy contributes day in and day out just by being here, in our electronic city of virtual dust.
for 51 weeks a year, we burn in cyber space.
so do what you can do, add what you can add, but the notion of grading someone or ranking them according to "participation" is not only subjective, it's ludicrous.
the playa has a way of leveling playing fields in the most interesting ways, we do not care about the contents of your wallet or which BMW you are driving, they are not who you are. Out on the Playa, the currency of exchange are deeds and creative input.

I sell and buy using a complex barter system involving chapsticks and blowjobs.
Were I an island nation, these would be my main imports and exports.

That's some island nation, Nipple.
Any danger of it getting swamped by sea-level rise, or are we to be blessed into the 22 century?

Re: selling real estate on Esplanade
I am the theme camp organizer of Area 51 and the post that created such a rucuss was taken from Area 51's personal FB page of Area 51 Burning Man 2012. I got 20 tickets for my theme camp because we were treated horibly in the early round of tickets. We submitted a list of 115 names emails and phone numbers of people from the SE US that camp with us regularly; however, we only got 21 tickets. When a second opportunity of tickets were special offered (20tkts), I jumped on it and posted on the Area 51 Burning Man 2012 wall. However Jackass, the name is very fitting as Area 51 has been slandered by you. We are very honest and spirtual people. As an Eagle Scout and former Scout Master I have always worked with community leaders to help make a stronger environment for the arts. Tearing down people and theme camps without knowing the source is evil and I hope burning man takes note.

All crucifixion aside, why continue a conversation over the phone privately when you can do so in front of everyone in public?

My guess is that he feels justified in doing what he is doing and doesn't want to hide behind the anonymity of an online built in board. And he is willing to provide contact information to further explain/defend his position.

Why not keep the ball rolling where everyone can see? It seems to me that having the talk sneak off to some phone line is more sketchy than posting your full name and phone number on a public BBS...jkisha wrote:My guess is that he... ...doesn't want to hide...

As an island nation interested in complex barter system, I request you to be specific.Nipple wrote:I sell and buy using a complex barter system involving chapsticks and blowjobs.

Will you be exporting blowjobs or chapsticks?

seems as an island nation, he'd be exporting blowjobs, but importing sea men, assuming there is no airport.wh..sh wrote:As an island nation interested in complex barter system, I request you to be specific.Nipple wrote:I sell and buy using a complex barter system involving chapsticks and blowjobs.
