Leave it to Apokiliptika to bring some order and discipline! Now if they could just discipline the gate road into submission...
"Leave No Trace" is a slogan, a meme to create a culture, just like the 10 principles. The were designed to allow the event to grow beyond its TAZ period. It's an aspiration. It's a cult.
The ORG is retiring. They want to sell the business. No investor would buy it for what they probably want with all the risk and risky growth projections. Capitalism is based on endless growth. So they are selling it to non-profit.
How big and how fast can BM grow in its current location? To 100,000? 200,000? 500,000? By the way, what is the ratio of participant cars & trucks to participants, and the number of in/out and parked organizer, vendor & leo vehicles? Guess 2.5-3 and 200 - anyone have stats, is it in the EIS?
In comparison Coachella is 85,000, Bonnaroo, 100,000, Glastonbury 175,000. The laws of Nevada give a lot of advantages, but the transportation is a barrier. Smaller festival at the ranch?
