Paintings Art Gallery Design Help.

Hi there,

I am bringing 340 or so small paintings to the playa this year as gifts. They are each inspired by I a gift that I have given away everyday since last year's burn. I am looking to build a gallery to show all of the paintings together and then on friday gift them all away.

Here is my problem. I have a carport with 2 inch tubes. It is 10 x20. I want to use this as my main structure for the gallery. However I am struggling a bit with the design of the walls. My current design is hanging 5 sheets of pegboard from the beams of the carport and ziptying the paintings to them. Each piece of pegbaord would have a 1x2 across the top of it and ziptied and bungee balled to the carport on the top....and bungge balled on the bottom to rebar. Is this the best way to do this sort of thing? I like it this way so I dont have to build free standing frames....bulky lumber.

My other idea has to do with digging posts into the ground and attaching pegboard to them...has anyone used an auger to do this? was it successful? I could use some experienced help with this. Any ideas? Thanks.

Use chicken wire instead of peg board.

Awesome. I had considered it early on....then moved on to something else. Eventually making it way harder and more complicated than it probably needs to be. AntiM's design should be great.

Does the chicken wire ever sag? I have a lot of paintings to go on each 'panel'...and I am gonna have to test it I suppose. Thnks for all the input!
