In fact a grilled cheese riot was what inspired my cart. 2010, two nice souls decided to make some grilled cheese for their neighbors. I thought to myself as I left the line of 300- these people, these dear souls making the grilled cheese need to be able to get up and ride away. Just do the grilled cheese they want to do and GTFO.
I look forward to the riot. Under my crinolines I have on steel toed boots. And nothing like a hot spatula across the face to let you know who's wearing the beehive in this kitchen.
Game on.

Lucky420, we will serve you a gin and tonic (a drink that is popular across the galaxy in every known culture). Illy that was Jella who brought those limes. Wonderful, weren't they? Perfect G&T's that night, IIRC...

I jumped in and helped a neighbor who was making grilled cheeses for his corner of the street. Started prepping the sandwiches as he served and cooked them. It was a great feeling. This year the bf plans to do the same from our camp.MyDearFriend wrote:This all sounds fantastically awesome.FIGJAM wrote:I see. So it's a performance piece?CarrieSnarf wrote:Figjam:

Gin & tonic is something I tried for the first time this year Lucky420. They are pretty refreshing. Looking forward to try some out again on the playa.

Isn't all of Burning Man a performance piece?I see. So it's a performance piece?
Maybe that's too deep for grilled cheese. I for one welcome my fried cheese overlord. Screw Fertility 2.0, THIS IS THE YEAR OF THE CHEESE.

The only time I came to BRC I tried to make sushi for the camp - whilst not quite a fail I can confirm I will NOT be making sushi at the meet and greet this time.
My tip for those who try is to add time or tie the lid down on the rice to compensate for altitude and don't drink until after you've cooked

I feel like I need to arm myself with a list of "to-do's" while on the Playa. Except the regionals have taught me that all sorts of planning goes right by the wayside when you actually get goin'.
All that aside, I have been looking forward to this M&G since I joined the eplaya back in Sept. Sooooo.. it's one of the few things I DO want on a list.

I also am not a fan of tonic but love gin. I highly recommend gin and club soda. It's refreshing and light and delicious. So nice with a squeeze of lime! And you don't get all that sugary feeling.Jax Dee wrote:I'm glad so many of us like gin. I can tell that some of the people in this thread are going to be incapable or living in Africa for decades without getting malaria. Get with the program, people, those colonial subjects aren't going to rule themselves...
