It's strange out on the playa, but usually lines for stuff form with the end you would join being at the farthest from the item being given away. Like, the line doesn't start at the table where they're handing out snowcones, and all those people are just hanging out in a single file formation in front of it. Even if it's Cherry syrup you want on the snowcone, pushing in front of others while saying Namaste is frowned on. Weird that even with a gift economy and people giving stuff away, you have to still take others into account.

Actually, I have been packing EXTRAS of items (sunblock, snacks, even costume pieces) to GIFT to others in need or who have forgotten theirs.

Honestly, I pray that all us newbies this year really BRING IT to finally shut up all the self-righteous old-timers who assume all newbs are ill-informed spectator morons.

What people have problem with is the people who free load and can't seem to take care of themselves.
