Didn't have a lot of money and have been stumped as to what to bring for gifts this year. Finally found funny inspiration from The Bloggess, she made a silly magnet for fridges that says: "I've poisoned something in the refrigerator. Good luck with that." with a pic of skull and crossbones. I laughed so hard, ordered one for my apartment then had a lightbulb go off and went over to zazzle to make some custom stickers. I made 3"x3" stickers with the same message only replacing refrigerator with cooler. It's funny, I think my campmates will like them, and it may actually deter any nasty playa cooler thieves. They should get here just in time for my flight out on the 25th. Getting so close!

Wow, that is a great idea.

Love the stickers. And what time do you arrive on the 25th? We also fly out then...we arrive around 3pm Reno time.

I love it Jax!

I rummaged up 60 more t-shirts, tanks, polo's, and hoodies to stencil "KEEP BURNING MAN FATAL" on...

1 case ea of Clif and Luna bars
20 Hormel Compleats meals (turkey n dressing, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf n taters, spaghetti n meatballs, etc)
2 boxes of 2 1/2 gallon ziplock bags
2 cases PBR
1 case Rolling Rock tallboys
Hello Kitty candy
More stencils n spray paint...

Then my debit card bounced and I had to go cash :x

I'm flying into Vegas where Tinkermom is picking me and Monty up, then we are off to Lucky420's to chill out and then caravan to the burn. Yay! Can't wait :)

Stickers sound great!

I made 22 rubber stamps for the deli today on the laser (include one that says "keep burning man potentially fatal" Foxfur, come by and have someone stamp it on your ass!), I'm very happy with how all those came out. A couple more packages came in, including the missing chargers for our electric assist upgrade kits on the trikes. W00t, I hope to do all that work and get them tested this weekend. I also made a "jugglers run" to storage, bouncing a few playa-ready bins and some we don't need out to storage so we'd have more breathing room in the loft. Someday I'd like to have a biggish warehouse space where we could have everything in one space, but until then...juggle juggle!

Today I made really warm cozy stovepipe pants for wandering around at night which I will sew el-wire onto as soon as I get that order. I am kind of impressed with my ability to make pants happen. I used one of those Butterick fast and easy patterns for gaucho type pants, they are awesome to have as basic starting points, and altered it to fit me with a whole extra two inches between the crotch and the waist line so my lower back is not going to be cold at all.

Dug out all our standard playa clothes, the things we pretty much only wear on the playa. Dug out more daytime comfy clothes for around camp, the stuff I throw on and schlub around in. Flowy skirts, little dresses, stretchy pants which could embarrass the best of the streetwalkers on Cops. MyLarry has half a dozen cute special occasion outfits, although he usually just wears his kilt the whole time. He's more likely to wear a cutie-pie outfit because we're in BDC and will be attending "events". Although if he serves at the pub crawl, that's likely to be just his knee high patent boots and a little Donkey Balls apron.

Now to dig out the hanging clothes. We have a clear plastic hanging closet, mostly for coats and capes, but also things such as my muumuus and our tiger costumes and assorted long flowy robes. Love the long flowy robes.

And the Boot Box... a bin just for shoes and boots. I love options.

Just ordered a face mask from RZ Mask. Looks like it will easier to put on and be more comfortable than the generic white dust masks (my backups). Just wanted something sturdier for the Class A dust storms we're going to have this year

Dropped off my costumes for alterations.
Bought novelty vodka. And a six pack of good beer. I don't like lager, I don't like pilsner. I forget what I bought, but it was in a can. Probably an ale...
One of the novelty vodkas is a swedish fish novelty vodka. I'm dubious, but it's the closest thing I've come to having a personal vodka...
Found no oven mitts.

Among other things yet to do: buy water, pbr, and further foodstuffs.
Do I need to go to CostCo this year?

We have a pair of large oven mitts with flames on them, I think they are BBQ mitts. You can have one of those if you like. Large enough to hold a fifth easily. We keep them in our safety box, just remind Larry to bring one to you. We haven't used them in a couple years, we just haul them back and forth.
