I too am agonizing over all I still need to do, hoping my ailing cat will be ok, if my mom will take care of my precious pit bull to my standards, if the mandevilla will get watered, not to mention we are going for days longer than we have ever been and the weather is supposed to be murderous. All the work that needs to get done so I can take almost 2 weeks off means a hectic next few days to say the least.

I'm more anxious about the work I need to get done before I leave. Sacramento's been blistering hot and the a/c in my office isn't cutting it. It's still too hot to work up there. And it'd be nice to make a few bucks before I go too!

It won't help right now, but if you have a proper attic, if you vent it properly, you can reduce the heat load by 80-90%.

I'm a bit anxious about the dust. It would suck to have to cough dust all the time, not able to see any of the cool art, or have multi-day dust storms where you can't really do anything. This is of course the worst case scenario, but someone make me feel better!
