Ya' know, I'm starting to feel sorry for Invisiblepants. He was lurkin' last night (ladies night) but wouldn't post anything. Compared to that calico person, he's not too bad, really. We probably just got off to a bad start. And by starting that GEISHA thread, he did give me (yet another) chance to show off my gorgeous gams. I might even stop callin' him Invisiblepants - if he stops trolling for hookers.

awww, you developing a consience, Sensei?

i hear you, though. I've seen him around, too.

I was starting to worry about being too hard on the drunk cowboy. he disappeared right after i flamed him, and I went back to his first posts and thought maybe he just needed some 'community', but then I saw the one on the WHY WAR thread and decided he can fuck right off.

Stuarts response was brilliant, by the way.

So I wake up ... lift my head up off the bar, wipe the playa dust from my goggles and there is this nice fresh shot of Jagermeister staring me in the eye ... just daring me ... double-dog daring me. Thanks Tish!

Yes, it surprises even Sensei that Sensei has a conscience.

Mornin' geekster. Wanna borrow my toothbrush?

And you're right about Stuart's post, Tish. There's only room for one cowboy in this here e-playa, and we already got cowboyangel. Calico has already been forgotten. So there.

Thanks, as usual the most gracious hostess ... but I need to stagger along and get to bed. The younguns start pulling my hair at 0-dark-thirty and I need my ugly sleep.

Night folks ... been nice, see y'all later.

Man, if that's the shit you have to put up with when you own a bar, I want no part of it.

The thing is, Sandwhich is normally a great guy... But did you see how shitfaced he already was when he got here? And I'm expected to interact with that? Shit, no wonder I hid behind the bar.

OK, LAST CALL FOR ALCOHOL!

Before those nauseating 'morning' people start showing up...

And tomorrow, he'll come in here and be all like, 'Hey folks, howzitgoin?' and stuff and we're all 'Hey Sandy' and then he's all 'So, some night last night' and then we're all 'Yeah Sandy, big night...' Like nothin' happened, right? Only we're really doing is wondering when he'll go off again, and you can see when you look in his eye that he knows...

Bar closed.

*a door slams and echoes*
*a befuddled fish looks around*
Dang, first I miss ladies night, and now I missed the Night of Testosterone.
I'll just sit on this stool. . .
and wait until someone shows up. . .
and serves me "An Ocean of Loneliness."
*sad music wafts from the air ducts*

yo... what's up...

and here are the words...

i am going to the non-tobacco smoking area soon enough

ADRIFT ON AN OCEAN OF LONELINESS

No man is an island, I've heard the learn-ed say
Inferring that we keep in touch, in an abstract sort of way.
No man can do what he has to do if he's entirely alone
Every one of us reaches out and asks that they be shown.
The firm grasp of friendship, the caring touch of love,
We reach out to the brotherhood, we pray to God above.
What happens if the answer is a silence we can't bear,
What happens if our fellow man and God, hears not our prayer?

We are set adrift in an ocean, of loneliness and gloom,
We are left to our own devices in a pathetic little room.
Be still, it could be a mansion of twenty rooms or more,
But the area is of no consequence, when no one comes to the door.
No man is an island when contact can be made,
But in the aftermath of Death it's the survivors we evade.
Embarrassment, intrusion, we excuse ourselves this way,
But do we really understand bereavement, day after gloomy day?

Unless you have experienced death, a child or at worst your wife,
Then friend you have not sunk as low at any time in your life.
Adrift upon that ocean, of loneliness and despair
Distress is your companion, for who else is their to care?
Waves of silence crash around you, storms rage in your heart,
When the only one that you have loved, at last has to depart.
The emptiness surrounds you, photographs stand and stare,
Is there anybody out there, doesn't anybody care?

Such is the state of loneliness, adrift and all at sea,
Anger, fear, frustration, culminate in apathy.
Indulgence in self pity manifests in leaps and bounds
For you are reminded of your loneliness by your everyday surrounds.
The loney just need contact, a word from day to day,
This is the role they ask of you, a role we all can play.
