Added a little color to the front of the basket on my bike. Love the glow in the dark paints...

Foxfur, I saw those same vent filters on sale too! They're perfect for a couple of electronics enclosures I'm building.

got the rest of my el wire sewn on my dress. made the top of the dress now just have to sew snaps on it so i can take off the top of the dress if i please.
added wire to my butt flap thing for my queen of hearts outfit so it wont make my tutu lay flat.
still to do today-
sew 3 feet of el wire on my playa coat and sew snaps. pack it all in.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
FINALLY!!! Finished the last dress! I also finished one of the two pair of bloomers but just as I was about to finish the final one...I ran out of the trim. I've cleared the calendar for the next to days to finish all clothing, then get back to the water costumes (4 more to go). I can see the light at the end I CAN!
Also, a possible relief of stress by some camp members who want to maybe take over the dinner shift I signed up for, here's hoping!

Re: One Item for BM a Day
My duffel bag is on its way. Only carry-on luggage and Reno-bought supplies left.
I went hiking with my camelbak-clone today. Glad I did, because I learned: 1) the water reservoir/bladder is very difficult to fill and store even with the benefit of a kitchen sink tap and a counter at hand; and 2) the water reservoir leaks unless packed just so. That's what I get for shopping cheap at a big chain boxmart.
Also, I caught a snake on said hike! He tried to hide in some bushes but I got him - and then the bushes turned out to be stinging nettles, so I had some welts on my arm for about an hour! Still, totally worth it
Also-also, tried out some emergen-C fizzy electrolyte powder. Tangerine flavor was bearable but not great. It's pretty cheap at a local grocery so I might wind up buying some just in case.

BoyScoutGirl: I also had bad results with an off brand reservoir. Bought a Camelbak M.U.L.E. from Amazon and it arrived the next day...is awesome.

Got some 17.5 ounce cans at 99 Ranch for like 69 cents each during their sale. Not going crazy with it though, prefer plain water plus enhancer when needed.

I picked up a emergency weather/radio that uses solar, battery, and hand crank or clearance plus a bunch of stuff for my GoPro. I grabbed a few bandanas, a neck cooler, and some Dr Bronner's soap. I also finished my tutu finally (Big thanks to catinthefunnyhat).

I wrote a contender for "world's longest response post" but then decided to just PM you, wh..sh. I have a bad habit of attempting to derail this venerable thread.
In on-topic news, I've packed my carry-on and double-checked all my printed maps, tickets, and sundry paperwork. I fly out to Utah tomorrow.

When I was a kid, a rancher down the road would pay us 25 cents for ground squirrels (their holes broke cattle legs).wh..sh wrote:You are my hero! But he paid us five bucks for rattlesnake heads. That was good money for a kid in the 70's!

Re: One Item for BM a Day
I bought some of those motorcycle glasses with the foam padding because I can't stand wearing goggles. One clear pair for night, and one tinted for day.
Problem: the glasses are made for fat heads. (Nothing personal against Harley riders). My head is shaped more like the prow of a ship, and with the glasses on I could see light and feel the breeze around the outside of my eyes.
Solution: I filled a saucepan with cold water and placed it on the back of the stove. I turned on a burner on the front of the stove. I gently heated up the bridge of the plastic glasses, moving them back and forth over the heat. As the glasses heated up, I gently squeezed the temples towards each other, shaping them to be a tighter fit. Then, still squeezing, I plunged them in the cold water.
Now they fit my head much better. I also put purple duct tape over the vent gaps in the foam.
