Critical Tits 2004 Feedback
man, you must live in quite a place. a cin-a-bun on every corner, white picket fences, do you cross the street when you see 'black' people?skypilot wrote:i truly don't understand how you people can live in S.F, much less CA. You all go to work, scrimping and saving to afford a ticket to burning man and bums(NOT HOMELESS, BUMS) get paid money by the city to be just that-bums and leeches who lie in squalor, pissing in the street and aggressively "panhandling" while you pick up the tab. there, now i'm off my soapbox.

:D actually, we have quite a few starbucks here in reno and, as a matter of fact, THERE IS ONE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER FROM WHERE I LIVE. Good coffee, and god bless corporate america. As far as staying "on thread", badger, go huff and puff and blow that stream of shit to someone who's impressed--who made you jesus christ superstar in charge of what we can submit and not submit, huh? ooooh, i'll bet you scare a lot of people on the playa with that crap. And, yes, i'll cross the street TO MEET A GOOD LOOKING WOMAN OF ANOTHER RACE, BECAUSE WOMEN ARE WOMEN. the S--- part of your moniker is true, because that bile of nonsense just proves that you probably are a racist and a loser. it's usually those who toss the word racist around that are latent racists themselves--you're probably the loser who started the "why are there no black people at BM" THREAD BECAUSE OF YOUR SILLY ASS WHITE GUILT..YOU MAKE ME SPEW, YOU FOOL. I thought some sane, decent people were still on the e-playa, but it appears not. However, when i do get married in 6months(i'm currently engaged)i'll invite you to the wedding, unless you have a problem with puerto ricans, because my fiance is puerto rican. given the fool that you are with a guilt complex , i know you'll make it to the wedding, so you and badger are both welcome to come--unless badger feels he wants to run the wedding ceremony, because he damn sure wants to run the E-Playa. oh, and by the way...GOD BLESS CORPORATE AMERICA
:D forgot to mention that yes, there is a wooden picket fence surrounding my house, but it's green, not white. don't have to cross the street to meet black people, 'cause my neighbor is black. we usually go out to dinner together once a week, and his wife is my ex-girlfriend. another starbucks will open soon 2 blocks down, so now i can go 2 blocks in either direction for a fresh hot cup of java through the courtesy of corporate america. and lastly, you 2 fools and your opinions mean nothing to me...pure drivel. other people, such as trey, actiongrrl, the rebbi, rob the wop, reba, diane o' thirst-wonderful people with thought provoking opinions whose heads aren't too big for their heads. but you two little caesars are a freakin' laugh.
"Blessings light on him that first invented this same sleep," says Sancho Panza in Don Quixote. As far as staying "on thread", badger, go huff and puff and blow that stream of shit to someone who's impressed--who made you jesus christ superstar in charge of what we can submit and not submit, huh? ooooh, i'll bet you scare a lot of people on the playa with that crap.
Or, from boring words do a night's repose doth spring.

Skypilot... you are not living up to your namesake. What you posted was rude, uncivilized, and over the top. If you really knew who Badger was, you would probably (maybe) think twice about what you wrote.
It's one thing to get angry when you feel insulted, it's another to vomit hate all over the person who insulted you without any regard for who you might be insulting.
Dunno... I have often prayed that manners make a comeback in the world, but I am not holding my breath.

:D notice i have the happy logo in place, not the angry one. not mad at badger at all. stated an opinion on S.F and the homeless in general, because a lot of people do work hard to get a ticket and those that do not sponge off the rest. i do plan to go to decompression on the 10th, and i've already described what i'll be wearing, because i have nothing to hide. i came into some gifts, namely bike locks(the cable type) and i'll be passing them out to people that want them, including badger...hell, i'll buy him a drink and we'll have a good time. but my rant on the homeless(bums) comes from experience. been in my groove, either alone or with a ladyfriend, walkin' down market street only to have it spoiled by an aggressive panhandler who hurls foul language at me or my ladyfriend 'cause i won't give him some money. so badger is mad that i posted this on the CT forum???? pleeze, give me a break. the pinhead that accused me of living behind a white picket fence and crossing the street to avoid people of a different race ? your issue is with him and his false accusations, a putz who knows nothing about me at all. that's basically it...i'm saving a bike lock for you, badger. and for the other guy, i hope you have the sense not to say to me at decompression what you accused me of here in this forum....GOODNIGHT ALL, GOD BLESS CORPORATE AMERICA AND GOD BLESS SOYLENT GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!
Steaming, odious, black tar.if hate were in the form of vomit, what would it look like?
Probably have a few crushed chips of bone from children killed in war and some shredded currency from various undisclosed nations thrown into the mix.
Probably smells more like Jerry Falwell's used Depends(TM) with a hint of Pol Pot's cheap aftershave.
I'm kind of frustrated that so many threads on eplaya and tribe turn into personal flaming attacks. It's really not productive nor entertaining, and it scares me that so many people have so much repressed anger with nowhere better to express it.
So as long as we're off topic, I'm going to post something here that the LLC made all the regionals sign up to support. I think all burners should read it and live by it, but that's just my opinion and if you disagree don't bother flaming me because I won't change this opinion for you. I also think anyone attacking anyone on any thread should be obliged to sit in the corner for a ten minute time-out without their teddy bear contemplating what it means to be part of this community:
The Burning Man Network - 10 Principles (from http://regionals.burningman.com/network_principles.html)
Radical Inclusion
Anyone may be a part of Burning Man. We welcome and respect the stranger. No prerequisites exist for participation in our community.
Gifting
Burning Man is devoted to acts of gift giving. The value of a gift is
unconditional. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange for
something of equal value.
Decommodification
In order to preserve the spirit of gifting, our community seeks to create
social environments that are unmediated by commercial sponsorships,
transactions, or advertising. We stand ready to protect our culture from
such exploitation. We resist the substitution of consumption for
participatory experience.
Radical Self-reliance
Burning Man encourages the individual to discover, exercise and rely on his or her inner resources.
Radical Self-expression
Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No
one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its
content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver
should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.
Communal Effort
Our community values creative cooperation and collaboration. We strive to
produce, promote and protect social networks, public spaces, works of art,
and methods of communication that support such interaction.
Civic Responsibility
We value civil society. Community members who organize events should assume responsibility for public welfare and endeavor to communicate civic responsibilities to participants. They must also assume responsibility for conducting events in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Leaving No Trace
Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after
ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them.
Participation
Our community is committed to a radically participatory ethic. We believe
that transformative change, whether in the individual or in society, can
occur only through the medium of deeply personal participation. We achieve being through doing. Everyone is invited to work. Everyone is invited to play. We make the world real through actions that open the heart.
Immediacy
Immediate experience is, in many ways, the most important touchstone of
value in our culture. We seek to overcome barriers that stand between us
and a recognition of our inner selves, the reality of those around us,
participation in society, and contact with a natural world exceeding human
powers. No idea can substitute for this experience.
Your ten minutes starts immediately... then let's talk about CT some more!

Woman want to serve Women
captainERocker!
Thanks for such a wonderful party!! I participated in the Critical tits ride, it was my first! Such a rush, so many beauties, some jerks on the sidelines, but it was respectful for the most part. Now the party you threw was a 'Class A Soiree.' I loved the massage menu list! And the ice sculpture with liquor shots! One quesiton: why is the party set-up with men serving women? I LOVE women and would LOVE to have the chance to serve my fellow goodesses as well. My camp received a message beforehand requesting male volunteers to serve at the party. I wanted to reply, but the request was specifically for men to serve...so I decided to let it drop and worry about other stuff.
The idea of having only men serve the women assumes that all the women are bi or hetero. Just saying it might be more inclusive to have some women solicited to serve--it might make some str8 women comfortable to have some women servers on the premisis as well.
With that said, keep up the good work! I thought the men who were serving were repsectful and wonderful!

I agree with eatnobeef- female servers would be wonderful. I did appreciate the men, however- the servers looked upon us with respectful adoration to my eyes...serving fresh fruit on toothpicks, etc. I would have been more confortable if they had asked the obvious oglers to leave, however. But hey, the womyn I was dancing with were enjoying each other so thoroughly that the oglers wree merely annoying background.
My first Burn and my first prolonged public tit exposure. What a blast!! Not a matched pair among us, eh??

CT sucks. It seems so.. forced.
My neighbor and his 8 year old kid were there just for CT. Thats fuckin lame people. They kept saying "so, you gonna check it out tomorrow?".. "so, where you gonna watch the parade from? We're getting there early to get a good spot." And I was like "What are you talking about?"
As if you hadn't seen enough over the previous days anyway?
And this ain't lake Havasu.
But WTF do I care? Do whatever you want. Apparently the participants seem to find it fulfulling.

I will humbly repeat what has already beat said before;this threat is about the after party, which has nothing to do even with nudity(all the women could be clothed, and the men mwn would still worship them). If you want to talk about how much "CT sucks ",and why, then I suggest you start a different thread, and perhaps add "BTW,I dont know what Im talking about".

CT Sucks. Yes that's right.
no, the thread is "Critical Tits 2004 Feedback", as the title states. My feedback is that the parade part is completely stupid.
Why must it be that I don't know what I'm talking about?
Notice I also said to do whatever you want, and that the participants found it fulfilling.
Why must we have all these god damn disclaimers after our opinions and STILL get slapped in the face with a comment like "I don't know what I'm talking about." - Very humble of you.....
Its that fucking elitism that drags down, chokes, and ass-rapes the supposed freedom of this culture. It gets into every aspect of playa life and begins to rot it.
Let me have my freedom and opinion. If I am off - topic then write a more precise thread title next time.

All I was trying to say was that my neighbors drove me crazy talking about the damn parade like it was the headliner on the main stage all week.
On page 1, captainerotica the thread author even talked about the parade. To me, that, coupled with the THREAD TITLE was enough of a "social okay" to add a measly post.
But here I am defending myself against people who are sure I fucked up and must point out how.. And hence, I explain myself again. Jeesus.
Sorry for my blasphemy.
Fuck.

Actually, I was just pointing out what the author of the thread clearly stated on the first page, and CITING it, so as to not create confusion between what I THOUGHT was the topic of the thread, and what it actually IS. It was thee, my dear, who stated thattypewriter wrote: But here I am defending myself against people who are sure I fucked up and must point out how..
.no, the thread is "Critical Tits 2004 Feedback
While, granted, this is the title, usually discussion board etiquette leads one to read the first post (and, hopefully, all posts) before posting to the board.

I did read the other posts. All 8 pages (bored at work). And about 80% of the other posts in Experience of BM.
But, when I add something, its
"Oh dear, please keep quiet, we were talking about the PARTY, not the PARADE. You don't know what you're talking about. "
I don't get it. What good is communication without people adding their own thoughts? (evolution requires mutation)
Why can't I add to a facet of the topic which was already established by the thread author, and others? (eg Iceman, Page 1)

You know what, never mind all that anyway.
Let's just let meaningless "offenses" slide more often, and let opinions be had.
and
Continue to let your freak flag fly enen if its unpopular.
To finish my thought from the first post, before these digressions. Its empowerment, release, acceptance, pride, that are good things. The event (ie, parade AND party) can be a catalyst for that.
But it really brings the creep out in a lot of people too. (men and women - ie the bike crash into innocent camera guy ) more than any other SINGLE thing on the playa.
The parade (specifically) JUST BUGGED ME THIS YEAR.
done.

I'm not condoning the use of "you don't know what you're talking about". I think that was uncalled for. I'm not getting personal with you (nor am I with you, anglebabe).
I DO, however, agree with trying to keep these threads in the non-GD side of the board on-topic. Let's be honest: your post was about the parade. Great! Start your own thread discussing the parade! I'd throw in my $.02 on that thread!
This thread is about the party, as stated by the author, as I cited before. I'm not attacking you, but you seem to be attacking those who are trying to keep the thread on-topic. Keeping the thread focused has been requested by the author throughout the thread. If there were any misgivings from the title, then reading the whole thread should have given you the clarification you needed.

My statement of "I dont know what Im talking about" was more in relation to the fact that you probably didnt go the party, and maybe not even the parade, yet insist on insulting the event as a whole. While I may have been a little insulting back, which was done stictly in anger,I am baffled as to why one would be so angry about a bunch of women showing their stuff, and a bunch of men being interested.Frankly,I dont think I was being any more insulting than the statement that "CT sucks",but I knew I would get flamed for it,so go right ahead.

Only a few men were "alowed to show interest. The ones not in the "in" were called perverts for showing an interest. This after CT held the city hostage for (at any point) as much as and hour.
I'm the contraptioneer your mother warned you about.
I realize I'm sticking my neck (or worse) on the chopping block here, but I gotta agree with harley. It does feel (to me) very much like someone walking through your neighborhood while threatening to kick your ass if you look at them (*them*) the wrong way. I totally support the womens' right to ride (was thrilled, in fact, that my wife participated this year) but I do not hold the same appreciation for assaulting men for showing their appreciation in any way that is outside the very narrow definition of "appropriate behavior."
