Nothing really to say. Grief is a foriegn country. The clocks are set wrong. The food's not tasty. You just are too different to really understand what's going on there. And for some reason the postcards aren't very pretty.

I'm very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing Elorrum :(

Amazing young neurosurgeon who saved my son's life almost two years ago.
We were so lucky that he was the one on call that fateful day!

drowned Saturday.

He will be sorely missed.

Indeed a sucky thing to learn on my way out of Burning Man this year. I wouldn't call myself a close friend of Chopstix, but I think I was nearer than was obvious by way of kindredness.

she was a extraordinary. Unique. A Carmudgeon in silk, with metal spikes thru her lips. The Queen of LUX. The Seamtress from Hell.

a beautiful old soul if i actually believed in that shit... :cry:

It was very cathartic to take our friend Charlie Russell's (aka Chasterus) ashes to the Temple and with a small group of his friends, mix up some of his signature chocolate martinis, the toast to his huge spirit. We all had a good cry too. Luckily our plans changed and hubby and I were able to stay for the Temple burn...a beautiful experience. It was astonishing to see all the sparks/souls exploding into the air with crackles as they swarmed skyward. I finally got to say goodbye properly.

Sorry to report we've just heard that Mama Lola has passed away. She was a very close friend of Flash Hopkins, I believe she was from Gerlach, and he brought her around the Playa this year, stopping for a visit at ArtCar Camp. Rest in peace but don't forget to party Mama Lola!

I just wanted to let you all know that our friend Sensei has danced off into the next plane of existence, very early this morning.

I think he hasn't posted in here for quite some time, but I'm guessing that there are still people here who have great fondness for him... as it seems everywhere he went he touched people's lives with his quick wit and giant, loving heart.

Travel well, Sensei. I know wherever you go, there will be dancing.

awe double crap!! I've chatted some with Sensie, never got the pleasure of face to face........but we have several mutual friends.......he was so welcoming and kind, in my early days here......unlike so many others who were here then.........a real good person.
