Carport roof problem.
Carport roof problem.
Everything is packed. Today I went to open my carport box and like a jackass cut (2) 6 inch slits in the roof of the carport!!!! I feel so stupid. Anyone have any good ideas for fixing these? Tape? Which tape works? I dont have time or money to get a new roof....and so I have to use this one. What do I do now? Any help would be great! My whole project relies on this. I am super worried.

Re: Carport roof problem.
Why did you do that?
I'd try patching with pieces cut from a similar tarp, using Barge cement or a 3M spray adhesive appropriate for that flavor of plastic. You could put a bird on it.

A 6" slit in that total area is miniscule. I think that material is a random weave - look at it - which means a 6" slit is unlikely to spread.

Okay, you'll be fine. Patch it any way you can now, bring an extra tarp just in case.
And breathe.

Yeah, patch it up, and maybe have a second tarp underneath it. That helps with shade anyway.
