Hi,
I am flying in from India for the burn and am super excited to come in. I have been trying to find a bike online to rent on the playa but am finding all the rental sites seem to be out of them. What is my best bet to get a bike on the playa directly. I can buy or rent, but will not be able to take one with me.
Please help someone who is coming from literally the furthest place on the planet from BRC!

You might find someone leaving early.

Or buy one at walmart, etc.
Hard if you get into reno too late.
There are a couple of places in reno selling used ones.

If you're flying in, you'll need to get some supplies. Trader Joe's or Whole Foods are the most likely spots for your food needs, but if you get up to KeyStone Savemart, they usually have a few used bikes for sale from the Kiwanis Bike Program (sold eparate from that - sold out - reserved program). May or may not be sold out. You may or may not have room for a bike with your transportation from Reno to BRC.
When you go through, there may still be used bikes for sale in Gerlach and you go through to the Playa. If they're available, and a price you'll pay, and you've space, and traffic allows you to stop safely and without tying up traffic.
As noted, you need a bike lock,
and a bike light.

Maybe buy one of those bikes that are sold on the side of the road while on the way in? They were there last year.
