T.O.P. factoid #240: I once ate an olive out of a fatman's belly button, it was covered in Axle grease and tasted like Bourbon.

personally, while the playing of amplified music or someone standing might be somewhat offensive to me personally at the Temple burn, nothing grates as much and ruins the moment as the people who start shouting. To me, if anything should be outlawed, it would be people shouting demands at other people to do or not do something (I suggest that they be passed up, over-head concert style, and tossed with great ceremony onto the pyre for all to enjoy)

OED - missed you!

Back working in the woods, in a previous life, my dead wife once got in a full blow fist swinging fight with a punkdude standing around a fire arguing about who ran a chainsaw better. She did, of course.
It's her I usually mourn for..........when people start screaming at me, I have an idea of one way I could mourn and keep her memory alive.........

Freebird was annoying to me, because I can't stand that particular song. I don't enjoy listening to it at any point in time, so in that sense I would have preferred for it not to play. Did it ruin my experience? No. However the nasty altercation that followed (the clash between people who wanted the music on and people who wanted it off) seemed like it would be more disruptive to mourners than the song itself. I don't think anyone enjoys listening to people scream at each other, during a burn or any other time.
I'm just being honest
