My raspberries are too ripe, no one picked them while I was gone. I'm still eating as many of the damn things as I can.

Shoved into yogurt. Not enough for jam, would have been had they been picked on time.

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Take a partially full bottle of vodka and fill 'em full of raspberries. Close the bottle back up and let it sit for 10 or so weeks. Then strain the berries out, you have two wonderful things - homemade raspberry vodka, and some seriously boozy berries. I'm told the berries serve up nicely over ice cream. or you can toss them in the freezer to make awesome/boozy drink ice.

i guys, thanks for sking about MDF and I, i got back about 12 hours ago, read some mail complained about work and went to sleep. totally failed to tell mdf i was safely back (i was sure i emailed her but hey) TSA did harass me at the airport but smiling and being helpful just meant they emptied my bag and rescanned it. 3 hours to get from the airport home in rush hour london tube system, then unpacking some and now its 4.30am and i am awake, wishing i was still over there.

Morning Anit M, FJ, & YG. How's the leg doing, YG? Getting enough multiple hand massage from the ladies? Never enough, you say. Wisdom there. Deep fried PG&J with bacon. Feel the old arteries clogging at the mention. But it must be yummy, so what the hell! Another beautiful day here in the Bay Area. Dives into the NEB with a non-spill cup of coffee. LF, is that you lurking there. Squeezes an itinerant limb. Ah yes, I thought so. Smiles

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Afternoon, gang! I had made all these plans to spend the day at the library only to realize that I had a prior commitment for this afternoon... Spent the morning doing errands, anyway. Well, did one errand, and had a friend do the other for me.
*Sits down beside Yg and commences leg-rubbing.* Gotta get this "blood pudding," as you call it, outta there...
*Waves to AntiM, Lucky, Figjam, wh...sh*
Did you know that you can flunk out of grad school if you don't return your library books?
Me neither.
It was a close call.
Well, I'm off to do my afternoon stuff now. It's a hot day here, so let's drink something refreshing: Gin and club soda with a splash of cassis. Yum! *Pours a round of these and leaves them on the bar.* Drink them while they're cold and fizzy, kiddies!

Actually, I really shouldn't have said that. It's so disrespectful of the art of I guy I loved since I was six and of mental illness in general.
But I can't resist a good joke. (Yes, I said "good"; I know you think "bad" but no one cares what you think!)

It's horrible that he committed suicide, but I personally think one should be able to find humour in anything as long as you don't lose the gravity, if any, of what you're joking about.

OJ, mango and a splash of Fresca for effervescence! And some vodka, of course.
