Where's the 2013 forums?! :P I have a fun idea

Kind of piggybacking off of the "Oh The Places You'll Go" video, I was watching "Hello, Dolly!" the other day when I realized that the chorus to the song "Sunday Clothes" can be very Burning Manesque if you change like...2-3 words. It'd be REALLY fun to make a video of people singing and dancing through the streets and just generally having a blast with the modified lyrics! I'm hoping I can convince my film director campmate to do this with me...


HERE ARE THE REAL LYRICS:

And umm Monday = something that makes sense that rhymes with Burner/Black Rock.

I'm probably not the one to offer advice seeing that I didn't have the stomache to make it to the 4th or 5th line in that childrens poem brough to life.
But this, especially if on the second verse someone slaps the camera away gruffly stating "no pictures without permission," that I'd watch.

I've never really gotten into the whole dress up thing, other than being able to dress up as the totally cool fictional dude I really am inside, that square society forces under....anyway....I don't strut with a parasol, feathers, patent leather, beads, buckles or bows........ Change some of that costume fetish to- facing the brutal elements, self-relience to spare, embracing my fellow humans, handing out PBR to strangers, eating a gifted hotdog at 3am, four day underwear......I would hum along to that tune, already do.

Anyway, anything that portrays BurningMan in a positive light and encourages others to attend, I will be opposing on every front, on the land as on the sea;

I believe a much better production representing the ethos of Burning Man could be made starting with a re-wording of the Marines' Hyme-

I've never really gotten into the whole dress up thing

I totally get the dress-up thing, suits are my fetish. Really. At one time I could go for almost 3 months without duplicating an outfit (reusing pieces, but not the whole suit), and we have close to 100 ties now (plus tie tacks, collar-bars, cravats...)

I almost wasn't let into a fetish party I was supposed to photograph because I was wearing a royal blue 1960's sharkskin suit & the party required "fetish wear"; the bouncer looked me over and asked what my fetish was, I told him "looking better than you". I got in.
