Hi there!

Postby SirBigD » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:03 am

Hey there I'm Preston and I first saw a video of burning man in 2011 and was excited about it and really wanted to go. I had just recently seen on TV a documentary about burning man for 2012.
I'm sad that I have missed it but! I am really excited for next years Burning man and I plan to try save money fly my self form Australia and to get to Burning man.

haha already looking around and reading up on some useful first timer tips. also a bit curious about these camps and groups people talk about, I don't think anyone I know would want to go to burning man but finding a group to be apart of and help out sounds like a lot of fun!

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Hey Preston, welcome to eplaya!

If you snoop around these introductory threads a bit there was a surge of Aussie burners a couple of months ago. You might try getting ahold of some folks from your area!
Also, check out this Regionals page http://regionals.burningman.com/ for info about any regional gatherings that might be near you.

Good job on getting the prep work started early!

EDIT: Woops, forgot the URL for the regionals page.
