Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Good morning all!
*starts ECM*
It is way too early in the morning for all this who-fucked-who stuff, but
mead is believed to pre-date agriculture and was probably brought to Northern Europe by the same Cretan diaspora that created the Celtic culture. But it is celebrated in ancient literatures going back to the Rigveda so who knows. Let's have some.
Arrrrggggh, today is Talk Like A Pirate Day, Maties...

Hey! Ho! We got a stick for that.
There's really nothing to it once you know the way to do it.
More coffee, less Demento, hmmm?

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
*wanders in, fills NEKKID* Thanks MDF! and yeah, I suppose the whole Mead controversy, will be one of those "agree to dis agree" things........I'll claim it was brought forth by the Old Norse Gods themselves in the dark times of pre history, before there were even people, let alone bees in England or Ireland........and given to the Teutonic tribes, as they wandered northern and eastern Europe, in proto-Germanic splendor, creating the Scandinavians as a splinter group.........
yeah, AntiM, I'm surprised to here you say " less Demento" ....really?,
Next thing we know, you'll be saying "live long, and have fun" with all your fingers together.

to celebrate his birthday, we buy clay-made idol of his and on 11th day immerse the idol in water and let it dissolve, thus sending him back home. I think that is cool!

Oooh, Ganesh! I have a nice little bronze one sitting with my other idols. I don't want any of them to be lonely. I'll bake a cake!
Re: The Bar, Volume #4
aww... a cake! I was quite suprised how famous Ganesh was among my American friends. At one point, it looked like I was smuggling in small Ganesh idols from India, for my friends
