Ygmir, is essentially a case of both those cultures (and all brewing) having lifted it from the middle east. As people traveled the world and shared their drinks with those they encountered, the local cultures attempted to replicate it and eventually came up with their own variants and flavors. There's a great docu out there, I think it's called How Beer Saved The World - it's a bit cheesy but well worth looking up and watching, in my opinion.

I feel pretty piratey every day, but had nearly forgotten about the day until starting to hear from friends and customers in SL (we make virtual steampunk, victorian, and pirate clothing in Second Life). I wear pirate outfits in-world a lot when playing shopkeep, but today went a little fancier by even wearing a pirate hat :-)

It's been a pretty busy day so far, lots of fun technical stuff afoot. It's all been going smoothly, thank goodness.

Talk like a pirate week works for me  Arrrrrg!!

Btw, Graidawg yer ginger rum cocktail (I forget the name) was goooood, so good I almost became a drinker this year, lmfao!

Happy B-day Gaminwwench, hope this gets to you wherever you and your tribe are! :D :D :D :D

Wh..sh, yup and shite...seems we don't easily cross paths, yet. Perhaps it'll happen at the Reno decompression, I hear it's gonna be good! So far Lucky420 and her kids are going and me (and some pre-burners from my home home) but hmmm, who else from eplaya will be there? Piney and and and but there must be some others? Should be a good time and a mini gathering of several tribes...
If you go wh..sh, please ask around for me I'd love to meet you and yours. :D

MDF, how are our virgins et al decompressing? Heh heh...I'm guessing they've bounced back faster than lightning!

Time for some CR-Coffee Rain! Chocolate coffee is forecast for the week and much love to everybody in the bar4! :)
I'm the MAN in a truck, burner who is stuck, you're in luck! I'll whip out my BIG tow chain and not charge you, not even one lousy buck!

I've put some thought into going to the Reno Decompression.

It hinges largely on if I'm in town when it happens, and is a distinct possibility. Also trying to get my Heterosexual Life Partner to work from Reno with me for a week or so. (That's a tough sell this time of year, however.)

Heterosexual life partner? that is the single most clinical term i have ever heard - go to the back of the bar until you can find a more romantic way of saying it.

I don't know how you play doctor, but I like to keep in clinical...all the way down.

It sounds to me like there is an eplaya greeters shift brewing.

Imagine someone with a love/hate relationship with ePlaya pulling into the Greeter's Station and noticing our nametags.

(Not that Greeters wear nametags, but if it were an ePlaya shift, I think that would be a hilarious--if potentially dangerous--choice).
