Did I miss it, or are we still waiting on the upload?
Re: Satellite Images of 2012 Burning Man
Wetransfer will only allow you to upload and email the link to one person. Does anyone know a good host that will allow general sharing for large files? In this case, all the Sat images I have combined into a .zip is about 1.5GB.
Or does anyone have a FTP they are willing to let us use for a few weeks?

The way i work it is I send the file to myself, then a link is provided at the bottom of the mail which is valid for 2 weeks.....so send to yourself & then post the direct link on here?

Thanks Fiver. Very much digging the higher resolution of the 8/31 shot. A few clouds never hurt anyone.

Looks like the wetransfer link might be dead.
But fortunately there's a torrent up now.

Indeed. Downloaded it. Damn ... 325 megapixels at 32 bits-per-pixel.
But I did find that the bicycle mandala we made (just minutes before the satellite went over) in front of Mama Kabuke's Big Tent camp (7:05 & Foxglove) was visible.

Re: The Satellite Photo
Does anyone knows where I can get the original tiff for this file? I am working on some mapping for the Burning Man Census Project, and having the georeferencing of the original tiff image would make it a lot easier.Fiver wrote:Working on the higher rez version, but it's over a gig in size! Due to clouds there were pics on the 30th and 31st of Aug. Here's a teaser, but I have to go to work. (this pic is from the 31st)
I'll be doing the super duper high res moop maps again this year off these.

Re: The Satellite Photo
Have you tried the torrent http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7697380 ? That's where I downloaded the whole thing. At 325MB, it's not really suitable for a single host to support its download. I just fired up µTorrent and it is ready to send it.DiscoBall wrote:Does anyone knows where I can get the original tiff for this file?

Re: The Satellite Photo
That link seems weird to me. First of all, I can't see the file type to know whether the file I'm attempting to download is the tiff version I am looking for. Secondly, it is asking me to download an executable file, which I am wary of. I am not sure what µTorrent is. I am perhaps in a bit over my head with your technical terminology! I need a lower tech explanation, I guess. But thanks for the effort.Zhust wrote: Have you tried the torrent http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7697380 ? That's where I downloaded the whole thing.
